What picks are Rioli and Ferreira expected to go at?

Never mind.
Just checked Knightmare's thread and unless page 1 has been revised Ferreira at 29 and Rioli at 38.

Rioli will be a good get at 38.

Inside football has Rioli going to Hawthorn at 22. Ferreira and Kerbatieh go undrafted in the regular draft. Rioli seems to have soared based on a couple of good games and elite testing.

and name

ps. probably not fair of me to say when I no nothing about him. But from i have been reading, sounds like he is overrated.

Interested to see the general consensus on O'Kearney. I have seen him a couple of times and thought he was a nice player. Doesn't do anything special, not overly quick or a super kick but works hard, gets into good spots (particularly at stoppages and when zoning back into a dangerous spot) and hits his targets. Think he is the victim of being quite a vanilla footballer but I'd be happy to have a reliable guy who seems coachable and won't let you down.

Article on Callum Ah Chee. Definitely divides opinions as to the type of player he'll become, but I love the level of confidence that he has in himself and yet comes across as an extremely genuine and down to earth guy.

Not sure if he fits a pressing need for us, but if he's there at 32 (or whatever it ends up being) I'd be saying his name pretty quickly.

Its a tough one. He is a bit vanilla. I'd be pretty happy if we pick him but can see quite a few faults in his game. I'd like to see him take the game on a bit more. He just seems comfortable taking the easy option of kicking sideways or backwards too much. Doesnt seem to hit targets when kicking to contests or further up the field. He bombed at the draft combine so that could see him slide down the rankings a bit. Would be fine to pick him, but not sure his faults fit our game style.

Can see him picked in the first 2 rounds but also doing a Battersby and falling to the rookie draft.

O'Kearney sounds like Colquhoun

A player who has recently caught my eye is Kurt Mutimer
-Good size and big body 185cms, 82kg
-Good long and penetrating kick, good hands aswell (26 in clean hands test)
-Quick 2.88 equal top in 20m sprint at combine
-Can play inside and outside mid aswell as back flank
-Good overhead mark
-Left footer, vic country
- Ok athlete
- Projected to go 40+ not really sure why but will be in our range

i dont really think there is any point at all of discussing ah chee as a potential draft pick. While some guys do slip, he wont be there at 32.

I wouldnt be too sure on that, he had a poor championship, and a very disappointing combine. He IS going to slip down the draft ... the question is, how far?

Bound for Glory phantom draft has us taking Kieran Lovell. 174cm ball magnet. :D

You have to enter the code "NABAFLDRAFT" to get the tickets.
But then it only let me get 2 and sh!t itself

EDIT:my ticket number is 28-29. Need 2 more and apparently they have no tickets left lel

I applied for tickets and it provided me 4 of them within the seat 30's range but then it locked up on me. I tried again and it gave me seats 3, 4, 5, 6 - I may be seated next to Kenny :)!

God knows what i'm going to do until pick 30 something, maybe throw some jaffas at the Crows personnel ;).

I dont think Rioli will get past Essendon with their 2 20s picks

AhChee will definitely fall. Hawthorn at 18 & the two WA clubs at 22 & 23 are the biggest threat. I can see him going to West Coast. If they get past there, then we'd be in with a shot.

Did i mention there was a lot of wishful thinking going on :)

in one breathe say that ah chee wont fall....then give us McKay and Rioli.

I only based in on what i think our need is. One tall (to replace the players gone), and one damaging small crumbing forward (so wingod and gray can go to middle more). Then i took the ones id like most from these two categories that may slide. But again, i only based this potential on phantom draft pick ranges ie knightmare has mckay in the 20-45 range. And rioli's range stretches all the way to rookie.

With later picks, you need to look at what % of different types of players come good with these picks due to maturing later. I put talls in this category, plus small indigenous players, so thats who id target. Obviously this is stereotyping which is dangerous, but you need some strategy.

hey guys, I just did a mock draft on an excel spreadsheet, here's something interesting with our draft picks

So as it stands now, we have Pick 32 and Pick 49, if the first round of draft plays out like Fox Footy's Phantom Draft, then I've calculated how much it will cost Sydney, GWS and Brisbane to match bids for Callum Mills, Jacob Hopper, Matthew Kennedy, Ben Keays and Eric Hipwood.

so therefore...

  • Pick 32, which becomes Pick 36 after all the bids, Port Adelaide live pick
  • Pick 33, Sydney, they'll probably spend on Callum Mills, that pick goes to the back of the draft
  • Pick 34, GWS, they'll probably spend on Jacob Hopper, becomes Pick 48 on points value
  • Pick 35, which becomes Pick 37, Fremantle live pick
  • Picks 36 & 37, Sydney, both spent on Mills, both back of the draft
  • Picks 38, 39 & 40, Brisbane, they'll probably spend on Ben Keays, those picks back of the draft
  • Picks 41 & 42, Brisbane, they'll probably spend on Eric Hipwood, those picks back of the draft
  • Pick 43, GWS, spend on Matthew Kennedy, back of the draft
  • Pick 44, Sydney, spent on Mills, becomes Pick 63 on points value
  • Pick 45, which becomes Pick 38, St. Kilda live pick
  • Pick 46, which becomes Pick 39, Melbourne live pick
  • Pick 47, which becomes Pick 40, North Melbourne live pick
  • GWS pick, which becomes placeholder pick after the Hopper bid, that pick then spent on Matthew Kennedy, back of the draft
  • Pick 48, which becomes Pick 41, Hawthorn live pick
  • Pick 49, which becomes Pick 42, Port Adelaide live pick

so therefore, as it stands, there's presently a 17 pick wait, which could then become a six pick wait after the bidding process in the first round

Brett Anderson and Ben Casanella of Inside Football/SEN reckon 5 academy kids will be picked up in the 1st round and in the 2nd St Kilda pick up Rice under the father son bid, before our pick which turns 32 into 38 and reckon we will take White. All those early academy picks means others will be knocked out and 49 becomes 43 and we will take Cornell.
