Don't stress fly your mail was accurate enough, I had a late chat with Trav last night and he won't overlook the remainder of 2016.
To hose this down I will give you the facts:
Trav approached the club enquiring about being re-appointed for 2017. He was advised that it is in the club constitution to advertise for a coach each year and he was invited to apply along with any other prospective applicant.
Some time after this, the club was notified by Trav that after consideration he had decided not to re-apply for the position in 2017. He also advised the club that he was happy to coach the remaining six games or would step down if requested.
After a meeting with Trav yesterday afternoon, there was mutual agreement reached, that it was in the best interests of the club if a caretaker coach was put in place for the remainder of the season, thus Trav graciously relinquished the position. These are the facts. No one was sacked or shafted.
Trav was an extremely hardworker for the club and his efforts are greatly appreciated.

Never a winner when it's like this unfortunately - and graciously or not if you're not wanted you'd be silly to try mount an argument to stay so Trav being the man he is obviously fell on his sword.

Not buying that there wasnt a subtle little nudge ....

Anyway the door must stay open, that must remain priority #1 at Kilmore FC and unless we are willing to hop in and help not much more can be said or done.

I stand by my initial post.Kilmore can continue to change leagues and coaches but unless something else changes there very soon they are finished.Im sure it's a tough sell up there and I wish the new coach luck.Hes gunna need lots of it.Case closed I will leave it at that all the best.

I have never understood the purpose in sacking a coach unless he is damaging your club with his behaviour towards players/ supporters. They must have somebody waiting in the wings. It sounded like Trav was doing a solid job and was able to bring some handy recruits into the club.

I think Kilmore have found it tough adjusting to DIV 3 in the NFL but it's been a tricky year, with Laurimar forming and the possible re-emerence of reservoir div 3 could be more even towards the bottom.

How will Laurimar affect neighbour clubs such as South morang and mernda?

I thought they had put joining the Seniors on hold for the time being ?
They have a pretty strong juniors I believe so if they look after them they might not have to pillaging and spend big ??

My tips for this week:
Banyule by 10 points
Mernda by 100 points
Epping by 30 points
Watsonia by 20 points

Watsonia to beat South by 11.
Mernda by 150.
Banyule by 100.
St Marys to upset Epping by 13.

Interested to hear thoughts on morang, why are they not challenging for top two , seem to be quite happy with the win yesterday but in the bigger picture it was just a win against a lower ranked opponent and therefore " expected" but from afar it must be frustrating for them that they can't consistently beat the top bunch, just curious as to what they are missing , they seem to have recruited heavily so I imagine would have expectations of winning it

Dissapointing to hear Kilmore have sacked coach Trav.Dont claim to know him well personally nor his coaching abilities but from afar I know he has had a red hot go.Sometimes it ain't about winning or losing but anyone who knows footy would not of expected Kilmore to win a game this year. They managed to beat West early in year and I watched the game on weekend where West reversed the earlier result for a well deserved victory.Kilmore had plenty of young talent including a 16 yr old however the heavy conditions suited the bigger bodies of West.He committed to coach a long struggling club and I'm told his duties went beyond the normal coaching and match day tasks.I know a couple players recently got cleared and I do hope it's not a case of the tail wagging the dog.Either way I did see hope for Kilmore with the move to the NFL but now I fear their existance beyond this season. It grates me when good people get shafted but as much as I'm sure Travs hurting he's actually better off not being there.Rant over.
Did you read the article in this weeks North Central Review Barfly? Quote, "McCarty and the Blues parted ways almost a fortnight ago with the former head of the football department citing personal reasons for his decision to step down from the role." Do you still wish to stand by your initial comment that he was sacked?

From Banyule- Tarrant, Vasamarkas if someone can find them, witch el be a good job for Crazy Bear but he seems to have gone missing to.
per disappointing season after all the hype have the Bears beaten anybody aside from the battlers Kilmore and west heid? A lot of good players/recruits have disappeared over the course of the season. Somebody has t take responsibility for the flop. How is the morale travelling?

Still fielding 3 sides each week, played plenty of kids and will continue to do so. Have played 20 players in the ones this year who are 20 years of age or younger and more importantly all played at our junior club. Not all doom and gloom. Recruiting obviously didn't work but a positive is the exposure to senior footy the kids have had. Junior club is 370 kids strong and we are no longer losing kids to other Nfl clubs in the area. The Next 5 or 6 years will be exciting to watch the kids develop. Go Bears!

Maybe an individual has too much say, and maybe should let certain people do the job they were employed to do. Im not sure how a President can be Sacked by someone who has had his time and should just move on , its ok to tip in money but must realise that they aren't actually that good a club to be involved in as that could be a reason why players leave , coaches leave and don't want to be involved in Such a club. Just an opinion from an insiders point of view.
