We need another ruck anyway
All depends on whether Matt Eagles is more than just a PR stunt.

We need another ruck anyway
then we need a ruck
Yeah, there might be a slight problem with that plan.I would rather develop Archie and have west as back up. This year is a midfield draft. I would rather roll the dice attempting to add depth to our midfield,
Plus Martin will not be there when we are in our next window , so get what we can, while he may still hold currency.Better that than nothing at all.
WCE are in the premiership window, so , may be more willing to roll the dice for short term glory.
We need another ruck anyway
Best trade ever...
Hawthorn give up 10, Hartung, 57.
Get JOM, 19, 26
Gold Coast give up 4, 6, 8, 10, 26, 30.
Get Rockliff, Hanley, 3, 16
Brisbane give up 3, Rockliff, Hanley, 16, 19.
Get 4, 6, 8, 10, Hartung, 30, 57.
Obviously requires Prestia to Richmond for 6....
Then...
Green either delist or go to GCS, Hawthorn or wherever.
8 list spots....
4: Ainsworth
6: SPS

10: Bolton/Cox/Taranto/Powell-Pepper/Simpkin/Gallucci
19: Trade to Hawthorn for Hartung
30: Allison
57: Trade to Collingwood for Frost
78: Upgrade Smith
3 Rookies I'd take:
- Cox
- DalSanto (if interested)
- Eagles
If we can take others I'd take Watson. I'd also take Tom Stewart if no one wants him.
GCS may want another experienced player off Hawthorn in the deal above.
I'd give Hawthorn 10 for Lewis, whitecross and Hartung. Keep 19. That would change it a bit...

Delist or Rookie two others to get Frost and upgrade Archie.
You're missing Watson. We will definitely draft Watson! He will become a cog in our back line with Andrews going forward. My brain hurts.

I reckon we will take Will Brodie at 3.I believe that's a more likely scenario.
I reckon we will take Will Brodie at 3.
Just reading between the lines on the order of the players we will be interested in as Schwaby's mentioned below.
Dons: McCluggage
GWS: McGrath
Lions: Brodie
GC: Ainsworth
Carlton: Bowes (bid on), Taranto
Richmond: Petrevski-Seton
Fremantle: Todd Marshall
Also reports over the weekend that GC and Lions felt they could do the Hanley deal as a stand alone which would mean pick 8 with something else possibly.Interesting that talk is the Prestia deal is getting close. Might happen before the JOM deal. 3 + Hanley for 4 and 6 maybe.
Wonder if GC have thought of offering 6, 8 and 10 for pick 3.Yeah, well Hanley deal the entire time has always been that it will happen. Seems to be a deal in principle but perhaps can't be done because the clubs don't have all the pieces yet? (ie pick 6). Makes me wonder, although i can't see GC giving up pick 6. I could see a 3 + Hanley for maybe 4 and 8. They would then still have 3 6 and likely 10 from JOM trade. Gives us 4 8 16 19 21. If we are only using 3-4 picks, we could very well play with 19 and 21 in other deals.
Nope, keep 3 and get Ainsworth.
Because GC could grab him, unless we have a handshake agreement with GC saying they wont nab our player then it's probably best if we keep pick 3.What if we get pick 4 & 8 and still get Ainsworth (or whatever other player we wanted at 3)?
They will take Bowes at 3 if that's their only top 10 pickBecause GC could grab him, unless we have a handshake agreement with GC saying they wont nab our player then it's probably best if we keep pick 3.

No they wouldn't, they would grab him with multiple 2nd round picks. They will take Bowes at 3 if that's their only top 10 pick
It would consume a few picks if we bid on him at 4. Depends how many picks they end up with and plan on using I guessNo they wouldn't, they would grab him with multiple 2nd round picks.
