Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

BigFooty does not guarantee ticket sales or swaps. It is entirely at your own risk, please make sure you trust the poster in question. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Hopefully this thread keeps being relevant up until grand final week.

People should have received their barcode in the club e-mail but apparently some did not.
So, this is how you can find it.
Go to Lions web site and click on "Membership."
Click on "sign in" and enter relevant details.

At the top click on "2023 Finals - Weeks 1-3 FAQs"
Just under the pre-sale dates and times your barcode should be mentioned. See Green and Blue below from my account for location
It is the 12-digit number with no letters or commas.

Club members are eligible to purchase tickets for any finals matches in which the Brisbane Lions are participating, including interstate games.

How do I purchase Finals tickets?

All ticketing for the 2023 Toyota AFL Finals Series is managed by the AFL directly. Eligible Club members will receive all finals related communication via email, so it is crucial that you have provided your most up-to-date email address. The Club takes no responsibility if you miss out on tickets due to an incomplete or invalid email address. The Club will endeavor to provide as much information as possible on the membership website so it is up to the member to ensure they have accessed all relevant information.
To purchase via Ticketek or Ticketmaster, you will need to set up an account. We suggest creating an account and password prior to tickets going on sale and keeping these details handy to save you time. If you have made a purchase through these providers before, you will already have an account.
You will need to enter the 12-digit barcode provided to you by MemberHQ or found on this page. Please have the full barcodes of all members you wish to buy tickets for at hand.
If you have multiple memberships, enter each barcode on separate lines within the box provided (no characters, spaces or commas). If you do not hold a barcode and are eligible to purchase finals tickets we will communicate the 12 digit number required via email prior to tickets going on- sale.

Do Juniors need to hold a membership to purchase a Finals ticket?

Children aged 4 – 14 as at 1 January 2023 are eligible to purchase a junior ticket. Children aged 3 and under as at 1 January 2023 are entitled to enter the ground at no charge; however, they must not occupy a seat.
Persons aged 15 and over as at 1 January 2023 are classified as an adult, unless they hold valid concession identification.
Can I purchase additional tickets?
Ticket limits for all Finals matches are set by the AFL. For Week 1, members will be able to purchase 2 additional tickets per member. A ticket limit of 10 will apply per transaction.
I require accessible or companion card seating. How can I book?
Please contact Ticketmaster directly on 1300 446 925 or via webform to purchase your ticket(s). MemberHQ are not able to facilitate any ticket purchases.

How are seats allocated?

Competing Club members will automatically be allocated a seat within their set club allocation.
Tickets are sold on a first in, best dressed basis and are subject to availability. There are strict transaction limits per venue in place for all Finals matches. These will be displayed at the time of purchase.
Members are not able to be allocated in to the seats that they occupy during the Home and Away Season.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices for the 2023 Finals Series are set by the AFL and can be viewed at www.afl.com.au/finals

What happens if the Brisbane Lions play a Home Final?

As with all other 2023 Finals Series games, ticketing for a home final at the Gabba is managed by the AFL. Reserved seating or General Admission members will not hold their seating entitlements for this game and will need to purchase a ticket through the membership allocation.

I am a Gabba, Queensland Cricketers’ Club or other Stadium member. How do I purchase tickets?

Please contact the Stadium you are a member of directly – only Brisbane Lions Club members will have access to member priority ticketing.

What if am not a Brisbane Lions member?

Remaining tickets for Weeks 1-3 will go on sale to the General Public once the priority members presale is finished for each game. There is no guarantee that tickets in Weeks 1-3 will still be available for the General Public on sale.
A Brisbane Lions membership is your best chance at accessing tickets for the Finals Series.

I can't attend the game. Can I share my membership barcode with family or friends to purchase a ticket?
We encourage all members with Finals access that cannot attend the game to share their membership barcode with family or friends that wish to purchase a ticket and attend the game.

Great ......... so I don't have a mobile, so I can't go ................. f'in bulls*t.

I guess they don't want anyone "in Gods waiting room" to go to these events ....... probably think most won't be around much longer, so better to let a young one in instead, who might be around longer going forward to collect revenue from.

ps Don't give me any BS about "everyone has a mobile" ....... because that's not the case, at least in my age range.

You should be able to still print it out and take it. Their main point is that everyone has their own to get through the gates quicker.

Well my footy partner doesn’t have a phone so they can gagf!
Whoever buys the tickets it will be in that account.
So, in your case the person with the phone (you) buys the tickets and you go through the gates together.
Just add two tickets to wallet if you know how that's done. If not just do one at a time at the gate.

When buying say 2 to 10 tickets being the maximum.
You will be able to forward them onto anyone that has a phone. EDIT with an existing ticketmaster a/c (all members have one). If the person does not have an account they will have to open one before you transfer the mobile ticket.
Anyone in that group that does not have a phone will have to enter with either the account holder or someone else pre-arranged with a phone.

Would you not have done it that way last year Dalions.
Not sure about printing out the ticket as dlanod has mentioned.

So, two tickets in the "wallet" of 1 phone should suffice then (just like every other match).

Cheers if so .... (I hope so).

Now us two "oldies" ( me & SWMBO) will have to struggle through the process tomorrow ..... get exasperated (me) when we cant seem to get a satisfactory seat(s) in the Northern Stand (but plenty on offer for the other side) ... start arguing over whether to search again or accept what's offered .... spit the dummy (me) and threaten to just not go ..... finally accept something (me) ..... and spend some time (probably a couple of hours) out of each others company to recover .......... and then eventually carry on as if none that just happened ....... oh how life was so much less stressful prior to electronic gadgets.

(But we will still hope for finals again next year ...... alzheimers comes in handy once in a while). :shoutyoldman: :oldwoman:

That will make it slower in my humble opinion, my son has been putting up to 5 tickets on his phone for our group and we get through a lot quicker than if we all used our own individual phone. Very quick process to flick across the screen and scan each QR code on the one phone.

It could make it substantially worse if they have some of my generation who haven't used their phone to enter before fumbling around at the entry point.

Note- I have a mobile but never take it to the footy.

Yes, two tickets in one wallet and good to go.

Regarding accepting seats offered.
Each to their own i suppose as we all have different ideas to what is a good seat.
For me it is top tier no further back that M row and between the 50 meter arc.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a wallet? My guess is it's another name for your phone:think:
For someone that leaves his mobile home you may regret asking this question.

See link below
For Lions/concert tickets you can also use the mobile wallet to store the barcodes and ticket seat information.

Thanks, I read the first few paragraphs, doesn't sound like something I would want, I don't want to be chained to my phone, I actually make a point of not taking it when going out quite often.

I do not use it for banking and don't have my banks app on it. I can get the internet on it if I turn on my mobile data which is rarely on... it is 99% for old fashioned phone calls and texts.

I'll wait till they start making it compulsory to have a chip with all your details/medical info/carbon credits/financial stuff inserted under your skin and you just wave your hand over a reader.

Hope you are on a very cheap plan with that little use.
