So, with 2017 in tatters & the rest of the season unofficially in official tank mode, I cant help but already look forward to next year. And with that, here is my first crack at 2018's best XXII. And of course it doesn't look half bad!

Can't put Wright and Jacobs in just yet. If they break down again that might just be enough straw to break the camel's back. But a strong finish and preseason could easily have them there. Daw needs a massive finish to the year as well. I wonder if he will get the opportunity?

Jacobs has to play when 100%. I'm sick of getting toweled up by each teams gun mid most weeks. Was wrapt when we nabbed Ahern for sweet * all because he was a gun junior bit he will need to play some continuous VFL before he gets a debut

As always, Jacobs is automatic best 22 when fit as long as our midfield plays one-way football.

Would have been the difference in a bunch of games this year.

I'm not sure why people don't want to believe in Majak. He is still yet to get anywhere near his ceiling. If he can actually manage to do a full preseason & get an uninterrupted run in the seniors, he could still turn out to be awesome.

It's not a matter of not believing in Majak, it's a matter of him finally consistently delivering.

He is always going to be a limited footy player mate.

I hope the coach actually puts him on the wing vacated by Waite this week, although he'll probably blow up by the 15 minute mark of each quarter.

I'm not sure why people don't want to believe in Majak. He is still yet to get anywhere near his ceiling. If he can actually manage to do a full preseason & get an uninterrupted run in the seniors, he could still turn out to be awesome.

Posters will be saying this until he's 30. He's done terrifically to get this far but the chance that he makes it as even a role player seems very small to me by this point.
