supposedly freo came in yesterday and said we want 6 and next years first and more (whatever that means) for Hill. And Saints walked out almost immediately.
Thats is coming from Barrett, so likely made up.
But if it is remotely true, and the Saints responded by trading 6 ... awesome.
That's the moral of the story

Well done Saints, called their bluff, Freo either eats humble pie or Hill stays.
Could Carlton do the same to us, split their pick 9 into a couple of teens picks and offer us one of those, the other for Jack Martin. Might mean we hold Papley to his contract and the offer to Dodo is less than he's asking.
Got we've got to hold our nerve and grow some nuts here.

If they try that stunt I'm telling them to **** off. Papley suits our short-term needs better than Daniher and his current contract is much longer.

I've got to say, watching such a Swan in a Carlton jumper, having pure Swans blood in him, is going to hurt.
I'm actually quite angry with him, fair or not.
Deep down King, I really hope you are right & he gets to play regular Bullants footy with his mate Newman, bleeding that sh*thole club of 600 to 700 K per season.
Another wasted 4 years of development into a bloke who was digging holes before we came along.

Yes- but we would probably offer it in last hour.
If dodo doesn’t waiver I can see us trading 9 for multiple later picks or 2020 picks to make sure we don’t get railroaded.

Yes, it is way overs. You have a player who, while when fit is one of the best key forwards in the league, has only managed 11 games in the last 2 seasons, is out of contract and a free agent next year and has told you that he doesn't want to be at your club anymore, he has nominated our club as his only preferred destination. That's a whole lot more leverage for us than you in this trade. Two top 10 picks isn't going to happen.

Correct. You want to win clearances you need body strength. This is where not having a recognised ruckman has hurt Hewitt, Kennedy & Parker at stoppages. They have the size and strength required but don't get to utilise those strengths without a ruckman. Richmond lose clearances but are an outstanding running midfield who force turnovers with manic pressure. 2 very different types of mids but if you don't have what the Tigers have you better have size or you are getting exposed. Lets face it though at this stage nobody has what they have.
