People forget Elliot is a huge injury risk. We already have one Menzel, we don't need another.

Hawthorn getting ahead of the curve taking injury plagued players for nothing and getting them right. Elliott asking too much to fit that mould but we need to consider these things too such as Bennell got to take the odd risk but only if it costs nothing. Elliott looked passed his previous injuries to be fair

Everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion but in my opinion you are incorrect. We played the entire year without a ruckman, Buddy played basically half a season and we lost 5 games by 10 points or less. It's a shame you are so pessimistic about our position.

The question is really why did we wait this long to do it?

He has had ample time to get himself in to the best 22. He hasn't managed to do it. Time to give his spot in the squad to someone younger who can give it a shot.

Rose delisting is a head scratcher..yes i get he doesny set the world on fire but he is dirt cheap and proven to be just about the only neafl player on our list capable of playing and contributing at afl level

Good, the more clubs sniffing around the better. It will only increase our bargaining position more - should the Swans decide to let him go.

he is not up to it. Just clogging a list spot. It is 100% the right decision, and the fact they did it now shows that they know no other team will be overly interested in him either. I hope he gets another shot, but i think he will be a good SANFL player.

He is a footballer not an indentured serf.

A footballer, if they are lucky, has about ten years to make as much as they can from their talent before their body isn't up to it.

If another club gives him the chance to end that 10 years $500k to $1m better off than if he stayed at the Swans, it would make perfect sense to make the change.

Because, either:

1. Reports are correct and he honestly dislikes Sydney (the city) and wants to get back to his family and girlfriend; or
2. He doesn’t give a crap about our team and is just looking for a very big payday elsewhere

Think his body is stable atm but in fairness There is always the chance of relapse with his history.
