If we want him its with pick 12. He may be who we started targeting after Melbourne got a pick before us for Weightman.C4 says Port Richmond and Bulldogs into Rivers.

fu** me if we go after rivers with our first pick I’ll die
“He’ll be a mid at the next level” absolutely smacks of Andrew Moore.
Maybe he will be something, but he’s a fair risk.
If we got him at 18 I’ll be livid, mostly because of what we gave up to get a project player but I’ll get over it and hope he makes it.
Pick 12 would shake the remaining bit of hope in port Adelaide I have left.
is a spudMitch Brown
Not directed at me, but Sharp for sure.Would you rather Rivers or Sharp at #18 ??
Why not both? Playing together at juniors would help them bond together hereWould you rather Rivers or Sharp at #18 ??

Happy for him to be one that slides to another club haven't seen that much of him compared to some others thoughWhat are the draft watchers' thoughts on Miles Bergman? I've been super impressed by him every time I've seen him talk and his combine results but havent caught any game footage of him in action.
Is being talked up as in the mix around 10-20 so would be around the mark for our picks I'd think.
From what I have read pick 4 could be a bit early for him but perhaps Adelaide are spooked with missing the top end of SA talent from last year that they will make sure they land him.I'd be devo.
I'd rather he go somewhere else then come home to us.

I am with you. Not that I am at your level of viewing them play. For me, Mead is the bread, while Pickett is the gourmet filling! You need both to make a meal, so I really hope we get both of them. Pickett's numbers aren't fantastic, but put him into an AFL system, & he will thrive!I'm praying that we select Pickett at some stage.
As unpopular as it is on here, Id select pickett ahead of mead. He has more upside, if his game comes together at the level he is going to be devastating something that we desperately need, skill with aggression.
Ive watched them both since under 14 level. One is a solid player and the other is a game changer.
Macca, from what I have seen .... and I certainly havent seen as much as you .... Pickett has some serious holes, for want of a better word, in his game. But his weapons have the potential to be super elite IMO. Unless he rounds out as a player, like you say, he will likely be brushed aside and fail. I was very interested in Phillip's explanation of his patchy form, in that he was unsettled by being back and forth between the various systems. Some young lads can cope with that, but others cant. Once he settles into an AFL squad, and comes under an elite system, we could see the real player emerge.I think both Mead and Pickett are in the same boat. Both could be good, both could be in and out of the system in 2 years without playing a game. Neither would surprise me.
I think Picketts got further to go to get up to the standard required. He's all butter, no bread at the moment.
I think he showed some handy stuff of substance at SANFL U18s levelI think both Mead and Pickett are in the same boat. Both could be good, both could be in and out of the system in 2 years without playing a game. Neither would surprise me.
