I was talking about the unlikelihood of him becoming a KPF. I'm not sure how Rowell and Anderson are relevant to that?

But he has had more exposure in those KPP - 3rd tall type roles than he has had as a mid.

Could we get Multiple 2nds to make it easier to Match and Early Reef Bid?

We’ve got more than enough points. It’s more a question of getting ahead of a bid. Rendell on SEN just went with us placing a bid on Coleman with 16 so we’d have him top 10 or thereabouts.

Sounds like we just want to get 1 pick in before a bid
I’d be pushing 14/16 to Adelaide for 9 and 23. Then I’d try to deal with GWS with our future first and pick 23 for pick 13, with a handshake that they don’t bid on Reef with 10. That would give us 2 picks before a bid. Getting 2 first round prospects, plus Reef, then trying to grab a couple of late bargains is the best case scenario imo.

If we were able to get a pick in before a Reef bid as well as landing Coleman, Reef and Baldwin late; I’d be happy with that.

We would have to trade away both picks 14 and 16 before second round picks could be used to match any bid on Reef.

Essendon won't bid on him as there's too much quality on offer at their three picks and it would be pointless for anyone else from pick 11 onwards to do so, because our next pick will cover any bid straight up and I am certain we'd be fine with matching any bid for Reef at any point from pick 11 onwards.

That just leaves GWS and I can't see them going past whichever one of Cox, Reid, Bruhn, Perkins, or Henry might still be sitting there.

Hopefully it falls that way because Stephenson would be forgotten very quickly, but I doubt we end up with Coleman.

I think we're screaming for small forwards as much as KPF. I really like the sound of this Bailey Laurie kid, but is he quick enough to harrass and apply substantial pressure as well as offering tricks?

And everyone seems to think he projects as a mid, what do you think that suggests about his KPF likelihood?

I think a lot of that projection stems from pre-growth spurt when he was 191. Growing to 193 this year, it would have been interesting to see where he ended up playing the majority of his footy.

They'd have to rate McDonald very highly to do it, unless they have a good academy kid available next year?

They don't get exclusive access to any NGA 1st round options in 2021. F/S maybe.

Possibly, but I wouldn't put too much hope into him becoming a proper KPF.

The projection was made when he was 192cm at the end of last year. I don’t think a 1cm growth spurt (if you can even call that a growth spurt for a 17 year old) is going to change anyone’s projection of him.

Great highlights - seems more a mid, with poise, and great decision making. And while not a big mid, he is the same size as Rowell.

Based on the video - he looks all class. Didak like. Does look a touch slow though and not particularly physical. I think he'll play high half forward in the AFL.

I doubt it. If a bid comes early and we're still holding 14 and 16 without having traded up. You'd trade 14 at that point - for enough points to match without 16 losing any points. I don't think it would be hard to get the trade done.
