Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere but one of our NGA products available in this years draft Keanu Haddow has been named the East Fremantle colts captain. Does anyone know much about him? is he on the radar to be drafted at all?

Keanu is a solid lad, who played in a number of Key Positions including doing some ruck work at times... this was in U16.

He then seemed to stop growing.

Last I heard was 183cm, 83kg.

Not blessed with speed though.

Played in the Backline I think last year in the colts.

Also a few other NGA products playing in this weeks games:
- Jesse Motlop starting in the midfield for SOuth Freo colts
- Brandon Walker starting on the wing for East Freo cols
- Chris Walker starting on the bench for East Freo colts
- Kobe Farmer on an extended bench for Peel colts

Also worth noting that a future gun is playing for East Freo Colts in Jed Hagan, starting on a wing. He won the state under 15s two years in a row and was playing state 15s at the age of 12. One of the most promising young players to come through WA footy in a while by the looks of it.

Also a few ex NGA players playing in the WAFL this weekend:
- Tom Medhat starting at CHF for West Perth league team
- Manfred Kelly starting on forward flank for South Freo ressies

For anyone that wants to watch Western annihilate a competition he is far too good for.

Also, even if you dont watch it, just put it on somewhere to get viewer numbers up so its a permanent thing

Is he that good? Any other draft prospects in action?

I dont know all the names but I dont think there are too many others in that game ( I cant recognise any)

The rated WA talent for this year AFAIK is
- Logan McDonald (Perth League)
- Denver Grainger-Barass (Swans League)
- Zane Trew (Swans colts)
- Nathan O'Driscall (Perth colts)
- Brandon Walker (EF colts - our NGA)
- Keanu Haddow (EF colts - our NGA)
- Heath Chapman (WP Colts)

If I'm missing anyone Tundrawolf let me know and I'll add them

Western is too good for Colts (he was too good last year) but the biggest limitation on the next step up will be something he cant change - his size.

Should destroy the colts comp if he cant get a league gig this year

Edit: SOme other names of interest for future years
- Jed Hagan (EF colts)
- Kobe Farmer (Peel colts our NGA/FS)

Kobe Farmer laid a beautiful shepherd in last weeks scratchie that set up a teammate for a goal. Reminded me of Byron Pickett. Came from nowhere at great speed to take him off the tail of his teammate.

Like the Patrick Walker mention, what makes you think he's top 20?

And where would you put Oliver Davis, I'm a big fan of his, surprised to see no mention

I always put up a couple of names from the old division 2 that others aren't talking about. So this year it's Patrick Walker and Joel Jeffrey from the NT.

When I watch underage football, probably the three main things I look for are - the reading of the flight of the ball, physically underdeveloped players being good marks above their head and those players who just seem to have more time and space than others. Then there's the obvious stuff with foot skills, ball winning and things like that. Hayden Young ticked my 3 boxes, and so does Patrick Walker. I haven't seen a lot of him but in the games I have seen, I don't think I've seen him rushed yet. Just seems to sum up the situation perfectly. I look at him as someone with a lot of AFL traits and with more scope for improvement than others. Probably not top 20 come the draft or really someone Fremantle is likely to look at, but I like him.

It's a bit different with inside midfielders, again I look for time and space in the contest. But my main ones are foot skills and versatility. For what he does, Oliver Davis is probably one of the best contested midfielders in the draft. And I look at him as being someone who is potentially great value in the 30-50 range, but just his lack of versatility drops him down in my rankings.

Hi Chris what is your thought on Jack Ginnivan?

On SM-A205YN using BigFooty.com mobile app

He's in the 40-60 range for me. Showed enough at the end of last year as a forward option, but doesn't really stand out in any one regard. There's usually a few of his type who get picked up in the mid draft rounds, problem is this draft will likely be a lot shorter than normal. He was shaping up to play more through the wings this year I think, which really would have helped his draft stock.
