Kliff sucks. Lou Anarumo has done very good things with a Bengals defense without any big names.

What he going to do with Murray?

There lies the root of the problem.

Tail wagging the dog.

What do you mean? Not having Murray's biggest fan as HC is likely a good thing. Kliff being a Murray fanboi was part of the reason he acted like a spoiled brat imo.

When the standoff with Murray occurred they should have moved him on.
Instead they signed him to a 5 year 230 million contract.

Rewarding petulance is never a good idea for ongoing success.

Forget who the HC will be it doesn’t lessen the problem going forward.

They are stuck with a less that ideal QB, with serious attitude problems, on a massive contract that’s going to be very difficult to move.

Ownership and the front office can’t be exonerated for such a bad deal.

Like I said tail wagging the dog and neither owner or the front office had the balls to move him on.

Steve Keim is gone also tbf, they've cleaned house, wouldnt be surprised if Murray is traded in the next couple of years under new leadership at GM and HC. They aren't tied to him like Keim and Kingsbury were.

Really dances around the question

Which translates into Kyler Murray sucks and I will be diplomatic and be say nothing incriminating.

Sexy Rexy is back baby!

Not sure how two massive egos would fit on the same team.

That said, no denying Rex is a defensive mastermind.

Gannon is overrated trash who benefitted from a stacked defensive line, gotta hire Anarumo

ESPN's Josh Weinfuss reports the Cardinals "have focused their head coaching search" on Bengals DC Lou Anarumo and Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon.

For those keeping score at home, that would suggest Giants OC Mike Kafka is no longer in the running for the Cardinals' head coaching vacancy. Weinfuss added in his report that the team could make a decision on its coach as early as Monday night, bringing an end to one of the longer searches of the offseason. The Cardinals have already met twice with Anarumo and are scheduled to meet with Gannon on Monday. The Cardinals struggled offensively last season even when Kyler Murray was healthy, but their defense left a lot to be desired, ranked 31st in points allowed per game (26.4) and 21st in yards allowed per game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Eagles OC Shane Steichen is expected to finalize a deal to be named the Colts head coach on Monday.

Just hours after a loss in the Super Bowl, Steichen could be the head coach of the Colts by the close of business Monday. Arguably the most thoroughly vetted process of any coaching hire this offseason, Steichen becomes tasked with turning around a 4-12-1 Colts team that finished 30th in points per game (17.0) and 28th in points allowed (25.1). In his two seasons with the Eagles, Steichen saw his team finish 12th and third in points per game, respectively. On the game's biggest stage, Steichen helped lead the Eagles to 417 yards and 35 points in a near win over the Chiefs. With an aging and underwhelming quarterback room, Steichen has a chance to secure a franchise quarterback with the No. 4 overall pick, and get things going in the right direction

No one wants the Cardinals job, why it's down to two relatively unpopular candidates in Gannon and Anarumo. Gannons effort in SB and stacked team is a red flag, good point ADP. Mind you, Anarumo had a stacked D too and who knows he might not be good HC material in interviews, vision etc. Cards are a mess and whoever they hire probably gets outed in 2 years. Another bridge HC needed for now till they can do another cleanout, hire a new gun GM and HC with a high profile, the job attractive

Name one star on the Bengals d?Anarumo's defense is far from stacked imo, just solid role players with Eli Apple and rookie Cam Taylor Britt his starting corners for most of the season, that duo would be bottom 3 in the league. Clearly a good coach when it comes to scheme and game planning. He's carried Burrow in the post season.
