It'll either be Friday night or Sunday afternoon I reckon out of spite that there's FIFA Women's World Cup matches on at Hindmarsh on those days that weekend

well its not Friday night now, that's Carlton Collingwood

Caro on 5aa last week suggested it would be Tuesday (tomorrow)
It was stated today on either SEN or Five AA that Thursday is the day it will be released. After our shitfest of Easter Sunday, Mothers Day, Tassie, Ballarat, NT, abundance of Sunday games and (from memory) only one prime time nationally televised game (Blues) with our high scoring attacking flair I am hoping we are the big winners from the draw released for the last couple of mths of games....but have learned not to be prematurely excited

Someone on the main board pointed out the Age is slowly uploading the fixture into their fixture section

They're slowly being updated (rds 16-18 were done 45min ago, they've just started Rd 21 now)

Rd 16 - Saturday Afternoon vs North Melbourne (Adelaide oval - foxtel)
Rd 17 - Sunday Afternoon vs Essendon (Marvel Stadium - 7)
Rd 18 - Saturday Night vs Greater Western Sydney (Adelaide oval - foxtel)
Rd 19 - Sunday Afternoon vs Melbourne (MCG - 7)
Rd 20 - Saturday Night vs Port Adelaide (Adelaide oval - foxtel)
Rd 21 - Saturday Afternoon vs Gold Coast (Adelaide Oval - foxtel)
Rd 22 - Saturday Twilight vs Brisbane (Gabba - foxtel)
Rd 23 - Saturday Night vs Sydney (Adelaide oval - foxtel)

Rd 24 to be announced at a later date

note - my calls for the networks is based off of normal AFL scheduling formats (Thurs N, Fri N, the Sat N game with the Vic team + middle Sunday game)

Lots to like there

Two day games on the MCG against top quality opponents

I like the string of home Saturday night games towards the end of the season

Collingwood, Melbourne and Brisbane (x2) are pretty tough. Port, Essendon, Bulldogs probably 50/50. The rest look very winnable. If we win those 7 plus 1 of the 50/50s that's 13 wins and we're playing finals.

Then anything can happen! :p

Nothing like the VFL.

Give you Saturday night home showdown. But not Nationally televised. That will be Essendon V Sydney.

So our 3 Sat night slots are

Ade V GWS - but Geel V Essendon will be on 7

Ade V Port - but Ess V Syd will be on 7

Ade V Syd - but St k V Gee will be on 7

They simply can't have a prime time slot without a Victorian team can they?

National competition my arse.

Would have been nice to get at least one Thursday night game (perhaps the Lions game, instead of the Saturday afternoon?)..why they dont play that time slot more I have no idea

We had a home Saturday night Showdown in 2021 (plus a home Friday night Showdown last year).

In fact, the last time a Showdown wasn't a night game was 2019 (when our Showdown was Saturday twilight)

A ridiculous covid rlrestriction crowd Sat night game doesn't count.

I'm pretty sure they have actually stated this, certainly with regards to Friday night games

So Sydney who are currently a basket case get loaded up with Thursday, Friday and Saturday night games.

Our showdown is on Foxtel and Sydney v Essendon free to air. Which game is likely to have more on it, be the better game and have neutrals interested?
