We have seen first hand at how shallow Port's depth is when it comes to the tall forward department as the year has progressed. Luko out for half of the season, Marshall's injury troubles for the last three seasons, Lord's inability to impact the game during the last month, Finlayson's hot and cold nature and Whitlock's rawness has left Georgiades as the only sole key forward with a decent body of work. With Georgiades, Luko and Whitlock we should be able to build a strong forward line around. Luko the lead up, Georgiades deep and Whitlock the backup ruck once he beefs up. Then who knows how Marshall will return.
Then with Pilot coming through in a few years, we don’t need to add another KPF. We have so many other holes well ahead in terms of our needs.

Its not just you, that is exactly what I am worried about with him. I dont like being super negative on prospects, but his kicking action is terrible which is why he's not even on my list of considerations for a Port draftee. I do think it can be fixed, just dont think it can be fixed by our clubIs it just me or does he struggle to kick 40m+? Not to mention it looks like he has a bit of a loopy kick based on the few highlight reels I've seen.
Last thing Port needs is another tall forward with questionable kicking.
FWIW, if this was a premiership club, Lord and Finlayson won't be on the AFL list. And I think that says enough about where the club is at.I think calling our forward depth shallow is really naive.
Pick a few clubs and start naming their kfs.
See how many go deeper than
Mitch / luko / Todd / lord / finlayson / Whitlock
We have list holes , but it isn’t kf depth. Hell, we’re arguably one of the deepest in the league.
That could change very quickly though in the future with Mitch / luko the only proven healthy options locked in.

Saying that, Charlie McKinnon in this year's draft is perhaps my favourite tall forward prospect so far. Adding him would be a great result
I dont disagree with you regarding the depth of Collingwood or Lions. But my rebuttal would be that their gameplans are based on small forwards and there they have immense depth.I think you need to go look at the lists of Brisbane , Collingwood and Geelong (the last 3 cup winners) and tell me who their back up kfs were / 4th / 5th best kfs are?
I reject the idea out kpf depth is bad, I think it’s easily one of the best in terms of depth.
As i said before though, I think there’s a lot of factors that will see that kpf depth shrink very quickly , so I’m happy to add more kpfs. Hell, I’m always happy to add kpf where there is valid prospects.
If that's the case, Berry is screwed.
Our key forward depth is fine. We’re just shit at developing them. Fix that, and the depth looks better. Even the guys at the end of the depth chart should have some knowledge of how/where to lead, where to be, set shot kicking, good use of the body in marking contests, etc.
Seen too many of our guys not know how to do this for it to be an issue with natural talent.
So why did we draft him? He’s not a forward
OppsSo why did we draft him?
Sounds like it, surely we didn’t go all out just for a winger ( that’s basically a flanker upgrade).Opps
Yeh, as expected, we got a good bludger.Yeah but we got a good player for that pick.
You know? What’s his name!
Geelong our masters at that & getting back drafted Falcon players on the cheapAny chance Port takes any mature age players? How is Louie Monegatemy tracking? Is he a chance of getting drafted? He seems to have been racking up the ball. Considering the depth of the draft this season, unless Port somehow gets a top tier 1st round pick out of their butt, would it be better to identify mature age players in this years draft ranging from the ages between 19 to 23? Preference is getting a key defender followed by a midfielder and genuine small forward.
Geelong seems to have a knack at identifying mature aged players though it helps that they have a factory in their neck of the woods.
Has anyone found a replay of the game anywhere?

Unless Sharp can add another string to his bow or improve his aerobic capacity by leaps and bounds, he will continue to slide I bet.Power Rankings Zerohanger.

AFL Draft: 2025 prospect Power Rankings – June edition
Our list has expanded out to 25 names, with nine club-linked players in the list, which has undergone plenty of movement.www.zerohanger.com
Sharps stocks are falling but I’m simply finding it hard to get too attached to anyone else available in the top twenty.
Questions about Sharps aerobic capacity being asked. That’s a watch.
