See you thenTill next year or at least the mid season draft.
That was an exciting draft and trade period.
See you then
Thanks for taking on such a burden at this time of year. I know the club really appreciates it.It is nice to not have to worry about it for a while and can focus on thrashing the Poms

All for Cunningham helping the VFL team but it'll be during the week, since he'll be a lock for the senior team on weekends.9 list changes (without Rampe) is a lot.. maybe Rampe and all his leadership skills and the fact that he optimises the bloods culture will help Malceski make the VFL team better. Yes absolutely, thats so important. Snell, Edwards, Andrew would hugely benefit from and love playing with him. Green, Hanily, Bowman and all this years draftees are developing and in the same boat.
I cant imagine a better on-field coach than Rampe. (maybe Cunningham, Adams and Lloyd help the VFL too)
Similar to how I feel as well, we haven't been afraid to evolve/tinker the list which comes with sacrifice (Hayward/Florent gone, no Carmichael). We've drafted powerful athletic types which you think Cox would've had an influence, given he's wanting to shape this group into a physically harder side since he's become head coach.I feel really excited by this crop and the direction of the club and surely Cox has had a big say in this and i feel that this group might be the game changers we needed. I might be wrong , but even on here i for once can find a great positivity on here with what we've done .
Really looking forward to the season , so many new faces , sad for some that a couple of loved players are gone , but to go forward tough decisions needed to be made for once , the only one i disagreed with was Ramps not being retired.
Malceski should also have a better VFL team and that's so important
GO BLOODS
This is why i believe the decision to move Horse on was a game changerSimilar to how I feel as well, we haven't been afraid to evolve/tinker the list which comes with sacrifice (Hayward/Florent gone, no Carmichael). Alongside the Suns, we have the most list inclusions out of any side with 9 and it's not like we've stripped the list to make it happen, with really only the loss of Wilba and OFlo. We've pretty much retained our core group of players whilst acquiring a mixture of elite, verge of breakout and high upside footballers through the trade/draft period. Those thoughts get me pretty keen for next year. Even though I'm not necessarily certain that we'll be contenders next year, at least we've been highly proactive throughout this period to give us good opportunity to succeed. Even in the VFL I'm optimistic for a more consistent and competitive side.
The decision Horse made to move himself on and he wasnt talked out ofThis is why i believe the decision to move Horse on was a game changer
I think Harley's face told the story after the GF. My guess is he asked Horse what was his plan to rectify and wasn't happy with the answer. Horse read the tea leavesThe decision Horse made to move himself on and he wasnt talked out of

Nailed it Chris, that's exactly how I think it happened.I think Harley's face told the story after the GF. My guess is he asked Horse what was his plan to rectify and wasn't happy with the answer. Horse read the tea leaves

In hindsight, I wish it had.Exactly and could've happened 2 years earlier , as there were rumblings
In so many ways Horse was a great coach BUT couldn't get the performance from too many of his team on the biggest days. It's not just the day itself or the cattle but many factors but the coach HAS to be the man with the answers. In hindsight, I wish it had.

Not totallyCertain of that Joe
There's only a few people who know for sure and they are wisely saying nowt. Not totallybut im also not certain of the views in the responses ive elicited. That was the official line. Maybe maybe not. But im sticking to my viewpoint on this one.

There has been about the same % as our former cost of living allowanceTo be fair, it was an uncharacteristically reasoned, sunny and uncurmudgeonly post from you at #1069. You're elevating the whole discussion.
Daft - Draft - same, same. There has been about the same % as our former cost of living allowance
I might've also been elated that the dumb speculation on the daft thread was over

unreal content. Surprised how candid some of it is.

I thought the opposite — did we really learn anything apart from that we pinpointed Thredgold and Phillipou as the two sliders heading into night 2?
