very happy with this pick. Reminds me of a much better version of Matt White, just with his pace, breaking the lines and backing himself in to take blokes on. Wonder if he also has a flame tattoo on his ankle?

How does Grlj and FOS compare?
My points last year when we went with Lalor was that there are a lot of simular types to FOS every year. Lalor types are more rare.

182-184cm mids are not short people. You need 3-4 of them in the rotation. You can't just have giants running around with high centres of gravity, you will get smashed. Think Lachie Neale, Ablett, Holmes types that can run all day and do the vanilla midfield craft. Last year we drafted the x-factor monsters, we double down on that we will cook our rebuild.

Seems ideal to ply his trade initially and immediately Rnd 1, as a gut running winger. Getting back hard in defence and line breaking on the way back out. Already a twenty times upgrade on our current running winger, Ralphsmith, especially with Ralphsmith attribute of being worst defensive 50 defender of his direct opponent in the AFL

Noteworthy we didn't take anyone with a rd 1 pick from a go home state Dr T? Now 23 of our 24 rd 1 selections dating back to 2006 were not from go home states(Qld, NSW, SA, WA - and now Taz). Reece Conca the only exception.

Was struck how both our two early picks took their time in hugging...
And acknowledging their immediate family, friends and support...
And took their sweet time about it as well...no hurry at all...
Great attributes to bring to the club...more of that underestimated...Conca hug...rather than D**Khead vibes...
