Blue collar is back. Was fantastic last week in the VFL.

Hope he gets some contintinuity in his football after injury. No star but gets the job done most weeks with minimum of fuss.

Been hand picked for the Melbourne game I think - they'll want his hardness against Viney, Jones, Lewis, Oliver et al.

No issue with the selection - seems a sensible horses for courses choice.

Why? He's a vfl specialist, that's his level, he'll go back down and crush it then come back into the seniors and we'll repeat the cycle of being mystified why it didn't carry over.

Langford and Mutch should be getting games instead of Stanton and Howlett.

I dunno, I know I'm probably in the minority but I like it when he's selected - he adds a real physicality and effort.

Granted 13 touches and 4 tackles ain't world beating stuff, but I just think he adds something at this stage when we're struggling to find mids that can/will run both ways

I'd add he has decent vision and neat disposal. If he's back in based on form in the VFL he deserves a few weeks IMO.

I swear if Stanton or Howlett play another game other than their send off I won't watch it.

Mistake dropping him, no coincidence there was a lack of grunt work and pressure in the forward half against Brisbane when he was missing..
The team functions better when there is a selfless player like Bobcat around..

They keep picking Howlett to play so we already know which one they would keep if they had to pick. They probably prefer his ability to play a number of roles.
If it was a deep draft both would be moved on.

Completely disagree, one of his best for the season. Kicked a goal, involved in another two and applied good tackling pressure. Didn't get a lot of the ball, but don't expect him to when he's playing extended periods up forward.

That smother on the 50m line was ******* glorious and deserved a goal. He worked his arse off to get to what looked like an impossible to reach contest. It needs a gif.
