Going through the motions like this against teams that can't win must be mind numbing for players. Not even having a go at WCE but it's almost a pointless exercise, you don't feel much reward for the win, haven't had a good hit out against quality, haven't hit meaningful KPI's you otherwise would have etc. You get 4 points but so does everyone else unless you're GWS.

Confidence, form and polish are invaluable from this point onwards for those teams. Tightening up some structures and skills, feeling tangible rewards for some of the efforts at training that you haven't been seeing on field can be really valuable heading in to finals. Ultimately you only get out of it what you put in and want to get out of it.

Currently sitting on their 2nd lowest ever score.

Clearly trying to limit the damage of the Lions but it's also costing themselves the ability to score. Would have preferred they just go for it, even if the scoreline would have been 170 to 70.
