This one is an 8-point swing game. If we can beat St Kilda here then we're guaranteed to be within one win of the top 8 and in doing so keep our season alive as well as probably several other clubs. 100% healthy list on our home deck against the depleted Saints. I think we're a good chance here.

Suns by 22 points.

Suns looking like being at full strength, at home, season and possibly coach’s career on the line. Will be huge for us if we get up.
Important game for both teams. No doubt Dew's career is on the line (probably gone). While mathematically finals are still possible, in reality finals are gone. Unfortunately, just to play competitive footy for 4 quarters is a goal.

Saints also played uninspired footy around bye but I thought the team finally played well against Demons and if they converted, they had a chance to win it despite injuries.

To play finals, Saints don't want to drop this game.

So many factors working in the suns favour. Injuries to the Saints, new coach rebound. Suns are my lock of the week.

Suns with the sacked coach rebound?

Odds have tightened with the Suns now $1.53 favourites despite getting flogged by the Saints earlier in the year and having a very poor recent record against them. Steven King going for that 100% coaching record.

This is one the Saints should win, we've beaten GC the last (six?) times we've played and did it easy earlier this year. Probably will be close though.

Although still mathematically possible, there's almost zero chance realistically of GC making finals. If we can stay close until the end of the third quarter I think they'll go on holiday early.

We haven't played Gold Coast the week they sacked a coach though, if we are good enough we should still win but it's another factor going against us.

Coach-bounce in play here.
On paper, the Suns have a midfield as good as any - Miller, Anderson & Rowell is an incredible starting trio.
Kick after the siren might be in play here, just because the footy gods have a sense of humour

Well that aged well 🙄

In typical Saints fashion we will be facing a team after a sacked coach, or a team that has been lambasted in the media for an entire week a La Eagles and Dees.

Still, off the back of a much improved performance last week despite playing two down, I’m going with the Saints …just. Another nail biter.
