Crows are have shown that they can rise to the challenge and trouble the top of the ladder teams all year. This game is no different other than a bit more spice to beat their cross town rival. Its going to boil down to who recovers the best from the weekend of brutal games.

On paper, Port should win this by 5 goals but I wouldn't be surprised it its a 4 quarter slog for a close unconvincing win.

for a game between 2nd and 13th points for and against are very silimar
ADEL-PORT
1703 to 1695 FOR
1500 to 1491 AGST

our results against the top 4 teams shows why season 2023 will be a year of what if.
R3 vs PORT- WON BY 31
R7 VS COLL-LOSS BY 1
R11 VS BRIS-WON BY 17
R15 VS COLL-LOSS BY 2(MCG)
R19 VS MELB-LOSS BY 4 (MCG)

Really bad time to be missing our best key defender (ACL out for a year), one of the elite small forwards (Rankine), no Rachele and maybe our most prolific onballer Laird.

If they were in, Crows win, without them, Port win

If we are fair dinkum of wanting to finish top two, then a win is an absolute must.

On a side note I’ll be watching with a mate at Alberton, hope Huddo (& not der-wayne) will be calling on pox. Again why are $even reluctant to show non-vic derbies on national FTA?

No chance without Rankine

tldr; injuries.

Port by 7pts (or should I say 2pts instead).

Will be hard fought and physical showdown but I think Port are the better team right now.

I think this is exactly the kinda game where we just fall over the line and win, and then all of a sudden there's big question marks over Port.

If this occurs, then Ken's fate will be sealed, just in time for August. In reality, we need to make a serious statement this weekend and begin our launch towards the finals.
