The biggest travesty is listening to the gutless cowardly commentary team being completely non-committal to the obvious fact that the ball had daylight to the post and was nowhere near the padding and therefore a clear goal. The AFL clearly have all of them by the balls. Thou shalt not ctiticise for fear of reprisal. And so the problem continues..........
That's been a problem for a long time.

Even if it went for review, with the rubbish footage we've got it would've been called inconclusive. Swans player smacked into the post so the edge would've been spiked anyway. Would've been umpires call and a behind.

Adelaide have likely been shafted by technology, not process. Which should not happen in a multi billion dollar industry. How much does a solid camera cost? 2-3k each? A few on each end of the ground at each venue wouldn't cost anymore than 200k total.

All that aside, the crows season didnt come down to one decision in one game. If you focus on one decision then you need to focus on every decision in every game across the season because even round 1 decides the final 8. Every team has been shafted at one point or another. The crows only had to be one win better across the last 20 which they failed at..

The photos don't even do it justice.
The front on angle is in HD slow-mo and there a clear air gap the entire time

Yeah it was the gap between frames two and three that I thought opened the door for it to clip the post, but that sync shows it had passed the post by that point, making it impossible.

Weird that both umpire and Lloyd were immediately convinced, clearly something gave that impression, but it's also clearly not hit the post.

Nah. There's a point in the front-on view where the ball goes from being angled forward to being angled backwards, and in between frames the point of the ball might have arced out enough to clip the post if it was passing the post at exactly that moment.

But if that screenshot shows an accurate sync between the two angles, then it conclusively shows that isn't the case.

I suppose that if Newtons Law of Motion ceased to apply and the ball somehow jumped sideways and then teleported back to its original position and trajectory in between frames then your theory may be plausible.

Oh ffs.

It's a goal, a howler. You benefitted, stop trying to prove that an elephant can hang off the edge of a cliff with its tail tied to a daisy if the wind is strong enough.

Crazy if the goal umpire did their job and the field umpire x 4 saw Dawson assaulted in the head we may just have won 2 of them

Dawson should have been pinged for htb earlier but gets a mystery for free for a high tackle. Crows had best of decisions after Swans got some cheap calls earlier in the game. Umps clearly don’t like getting booed.

Your season was over before this game. Yes, you was robbed, but you most likely aren’t making the finals with a win anyway.

Simply needed favourites to win the remaining relevant matches for us to snatch 8th. Not a sure thing, not a total stretch either.

Yeah you can throw as many reverse uno cards as you like but you won't achieve equivalency here mate

Ummm, read again, I'm saying the goal umpire got it wrong. The front on vision has one potential point of ambiguity, but the sync resolves that and conclusively shows it didn't hit the post.
