Why? I think the Brisbane Lions will be to good for the Saints by 50 points, i was being generous.
Because a lowly club like the Saints have started your envitable decline.
Lions are playing well but still don't have a full strength team, if they get complacent then we will win. I think Lions by less than 20 points.

Aside from Ashcroft who won't be back for finals anyway, I think that side that played on Friday night was probably our full strength team (I think we're a better team without Gunston). That being said, we may be without McCarthy and Ah Chee this weekend.

They’re three very handy players you are missing.

Lions to give the Saints a taste of what's to come in the finals by 50 points

If only Geelong could have done the same thing, at least we will get a tougher hit out against Brisbane, they are favourites but we could cause an upset.

Saints put on amazing pressure around the ground, if they maintain that Lions by 20.

However with a finals spot wrapped up they may drop that intensity a tad, if so Lions by 60+.

We have a lot to play for, top 2 on the line.

I just want the Saints to bring a competitive edge, much like what we have seen over the past few weeks. Add to that an injury free run and a great look into what's required for September.

Hit those KPI's and I'll be happy, unless we are with a goal or two in the final minutes, then I'll expect more!

You're right but we just don't get blown apart like that.

Even if you dominate us I suspect the margin won't be more than 35 points.

My tip is we come out hot and you guys wake up after halftime and overpower us by a few goals. in a pretty good match.

We play the GABBA well, should be a good game. Still a bit to play for as well.
You've played there once since the COVID affected season and lost.
Out of the 7 games you played there during COVID, the only one that matters is the one against the Lions, which was a... loss.
Prior to that, you haven't played there since 2015, so that result means nothing.

The neutral games you played there in the COVID season, you went 4-2, which is good, but ultimately means nothing when you aren't playing the home team.

Sorry? How did the Saints start the Cats decline?
By the time you played them, they were 21 games into their decline. They had lost half their games and were sitting in 11th and had won 2 of their last 5.
After you played them they were sitting in 11th and had won 2 of their past 5.

we started their ascent

Beat them in round 9 last year and they never lost again!

Freo buried them this year

Our biggest loss this year was in the one game we didn't mentally show up for, Adelaide by 52 points.

Our next biggest loss was against Brisbane by 28 points when we were in a period of really poor form.

I still think we will lose, but St.kilda are rarely ever out of a game due to how good our defence has been this season.
