Hopefully Port win so Dees don't have to tank.
I'm banking on a turnup.

Reckon the Dees will not turn up, after ensuring the top 4 spot. A bit like last years back-half.
Oliver was useless last game, and the Swans mids will take it to him. I think the Swans will win the midfield battle.

The wide spaces of the SCG will test the Dees defence. Papley to kick 5.

Carlton to close up the percentage.

Port to lose.
Melbourne to beat Sydney by 7-8 goals.
Melbourne beats Brisbane in QF by 3 points.
Melbourne beats Port in QF by 8 points.
Melbourne beats Collingwood by 12 goals in Grand Final.

You heard it here first.
Why do we have to play two qualifying finals?

I think we will strategically rest some players for this one and put in a professional 3-4 goal loss.

We know who the form teams are heading into finals, and certainly know who they're not. They say it's dangerous to flirt with form, but I think we can focus on thing we want to work on and allow some 'leakage'. I wouldn't mind us playing with a heap of dare to see what score we can put on without worrying too much about defence.

I'd be with one of the other posters in that Papley will cherry pick and get cheap goals out the back, he'll kick 5 and Swans win by 18 points.

We typically play very well Away. We typically own Brisbane in the past if you exclude last years final. On the flip side, we typically play poorly against the pies excluding the one game this year and our MCG form is neither here nor there.
Except we're 11-2 at the 'G and 4-5 away from it.

Wouldn't the dees want to finish third and get the Brisbane trip out of the way? If they finish fourth and lose week one, then they are destined for a prelim at the gabba.
