Don't clubs get 30 entry passes for matches for each team that plays at a ground on match day like other leagues do?

If a club plays on both days, surely the team officials and volunteers involved with the team get one of the 30 passes for free entry on both days?
Yes I assume they would. I’m talking in regards to supporters.

Slightly better than the Outer East league trying to charge over $100 for access to live streams of all finals from all three divisions. I have heard there's only one option available too - not just for single matches

Ka-ching!
To be fair the NFNL doesn’t offer live streaming at all. Not a bad idea but $100 is way overs

Live streamed grand finals last season…

They make an absolute fortune off clubs as it is. I'd love to see a break down of the NFNL financial year.
It's obviously not made to the public or clubs is it?

It should be. The Floyd fiasco is why people with an interest in the league should be able to see them printed in an annual report each year.

Totally off current topic…
For the viability of the u19 competition, the league has to scrap the u17.5 age group & bring it back to an u17 competition..
It’s massively affecting the u19s competition & also the u17s ..
Eg: my club will struggle to field u19s with this current situation, as will a lot of other clubs.
We will have 41 kids able to play u17.5 & out of that 12-14 will be turning 18 during season, whereas we currently have 14 u19s..
18 yr olds are being drafted into afl yet we have a system where (if they choose) they can play against 16yr olds..
for the survival of many clubs u19s change this rule back , get as many u19s games as possible on Friday nights & rejuvenate the competition..
Thoughts ??

Id have thought the easy decision for your club to make is to prioritize the genuine u17 kids and tell the 12-14 boys that they need to play 19's. Problem solved.
you cant take 41 kids into 1 team??
I actually agree with what you are saying and id say other clubs are in the same boat, but i know of a couple who have already told the boys eligible to play 17.5 that they need to go to u19,s.
I doubt you will get kids leaving the club if they cant play 17.5, if a few of their mates go up to 19,s they will follow.

I agree they need to rethink the 19s, first thing would be to make it 19s not 19.5 thus allowing having 20-year-olds playing an age restricted competition.

I would also think they should consider a Friday night competition for those wishing to play in it. It needs to be at least tried. With grading making the fixture come out late and NFNL stating that if clubs want a Fri night they need to do all the liaising it makes it hard as people look at fixture and plan, having a comp that is set in stone with those happy for Fri nights make this easier.

With teams now not following the rest of the Club on a Sat there is massive issues getting support staff or even opening facilities appropriately.

I have been to a few 19s on a Fri night and they are quite good with canteen and bar and even AFL on TVs inside, clubs can really benefit. There is no real ability to make money on Sat morning other than a dodgy coffee and maybe a cold egg and bacon roll but Fri night people want to eat and drink.

I know there are insufficient lights at some clubs, this would be a catalyst for NFNL (with support of AFLV) to get their local council to act.

I saw local cricket many years ago when they started moving junior games from Sat morning to Fri night. This was met with a lot of traditionalists saying it would not work, fast forward 10+ years later and there is no such thing as Sat morning cricket and Wed and Fri night is all they have.

Time to try something. Whilst I don't think the 19 programs are is immediate peril as we seemed to have had enough sides this year I think they cannot rest on laurels and should try something different however NFNL will not change unless there is a strong push from majority of clubs.

Clubs like Banyule, Macleod and St Marys have affiliated juniors that go upto under 18s in the Yarra JFL, Ivanhoe soon to be the same.

When you say there are 20 year olds playing, or 18 year olds in the 17.5's, they would be turning 18 or 20 in July at the earliest, so its not like they are a full year older. some kids might not have birthdays until December so i think too much is made of that. Some kids genuinely need to play another year of Juniors.
Again i agree its not perfect but not sure its a huge problem either.

will be interesting to see who some of the assistant coaches are also.

Division 4 Club in Adelaide, Club where champions like the Jarmens came from. Fined $380,000 after a number of salary cap breaches in last 5 years.

WOW.

They can pay $2,500 a game max and highest paid can only get $500 a game. Upfront or signons illegal.

They will also start next year on neg 12 points and unable to recruit players next year as they have had points taken off them. President banned for 10 years.

Yes you read that right, a local community club has been fined $380,000. Hope everyone has their duck aligned if AFL-V ever decide to get that rough.

And in South Australia, starting on -12 means you need SIX wins, not three, to get to 0 match points.

They finished last in Division 3 this year and are a great chance of being in Division 5 for 2025. They won only one match, so their recruiting staff didn't do a great job while outlaying all those great wads of cash.
