Yes, I know it's another Judd article...

Yes, I know it's pretty long, but here's an excerpt. My favourite bit is in bold :thumbsu:

Judd's arrival at Carlton immediately rejuvenated the club that had begun to embarrass itself on and off the field, with the more than 40,000 members registered in 2008 proof of his aura.
A little-known fact about Judd is that he signed for six seasons with Carlton, not the five reported at the time. He will be 30 when the deal expires.

Herald Sun: What is it you want most out of your time left in the game?

"Another premiership. If we didn't get a premiership at Carlton, I would feel my career had something missing. The only time I have ever finished a season and been really happy with the year was the year we (West Coast) won the premiership (2006).

"Even though I have had some good seasons individually, that was the only time I have ever felt content at the end of a season."

he was only happy after 06 cos he knew he had 1 more year before he could bolt lol

Still angry and upset...

Maybe he was happy because he knew he had one more year before he could leave that drug infested team called the West Coke E-girls

"I didn't realise how big a club it was until I actually got down there. It really surprised me," Judd said. "I always thought it was Collingwood and Essendon, that Carlton was below them, maybe akin to a Hawthorn. It's exciting. You do get the sense that if we get our act together, it will be a really exciting time.

Oh Juddy..... I see the Melbourne supporter in you didn't wash out until later life?

Great article :thumbsu:

The fact he ultimately strives for a premiership is certainly a good match for us, seeing as our club's ultimate goal is the next flag.

Obviously all clubs play for the premiership...but....you know I mean ;)
Psst...Some settle for less :D

Can't wait for the great man to have a big pre-season.

That's the intriging thing isn't it. Considering Judd did very little, aside from running and a bit of skill work prior to Christmas, is testament to his work ethic. Can't wait to see what he's like come round 1 2009.

Absolutely.

His critics must forget what he's had to return from, I know this year he's actually surpassed my expectations of what he could do on-field after the surgery and no pre-season.

His "afterburners" appear to be returning when he gets going, next year we should see his explosive burst off the mark and line breaking ability back :thumbsu:

Every season that we don't win a flag is by definition a failure, disappointing and not acceptable. But the real positive was Judd's arrival. We got him for a bargain basement price too, and the Weagles are still very bitter about it (e.g. JW's recent comments) :)

Great Read

It's been close to a year since he's been a blue but it still gives makes my heart skip a beat when he plays in the navy blue and when he says things like he wants another premiership.

God love Him.
God love Carlton.

I still need to pinch myself from time to time because i still cant believe that Chris Judd plays for the mighty Blues.

Hopefully we can get his mate Daniel Kerr over as well. :thumbsu: But i think that we can all agree that we will be drawing the line at Ben Cousins, LOL!
