Prediction Assistant coaching changes

Rumours are Josh Francou is headed our way. Replacing Campo in the midfield, or in to take over from ROK as the SANFL coach? He's already run as head coach for North Adelaide for a few years, so not like he needs to pad out his resume with more SANFL experience though.

Didn't Francou elbow Campo in the head in their playing days? Would lol if Francou came and Campo stays.

Not gonna bet on it happening at this stage, Tony Sheahan was the one who suggested it. Reckon he'd be a good get, though

Surely Campo wouldn't be going anywhere? SA business and for all the shit we give him, our midfield is firing.

FWIW, Rowe very strong on AA that Dew has the GC job, Teague back to Melbourne (Carlton or Collingwood), Francou to Adelaide.
Wouldn't ever put much faith in what he says but for once he seemed serious.

So it sounds like Francou is replacing Teague.

Teague will be a big loss, but like we have got a replacement from different systems, who is also cluey guy.

It will be interesting to see if Campo stays.
Being midfield coach and not aspiring to be a head coach, it puts a road block in front of the other assistants wanting to advance their coaching careers at Adelaide.
I reckon Teague has done a very good job.
I rate Francou but surely he wouldn't come to us for less than a midfield / senior ass. role ?

Maybe it's to "expand his resume" for a few years? Teague goes, Pods shuffles forward and Francou goes to defense?

Francou would be a great get, although I'm slightly hesitant on his record as Sydney midfield guru. They are very set in their ways, whether or not that is Longmires doing who knows

I'd put the tool shed on it!

*note to self: order new toolshed...AGAIN

Kane or Chad for 4th?;)
Haha!

Liked Chad (as a player).

Kane was the most boring footballer I've ever seen. Effective yes but there was never anything exciting or different or skillful about his play. Boring percentage football built on elite fitness.

Loved Michael Wilson. Also Matthew Primus prior to his knee injuries. Robbie Gray before he started routinely playing for free kicks.

I'll be happy if we get Francou. He'd be a perfect fit for the Crouch brothers.

Number 1 for mine
Got so much out of himself , absolute competitive beast

Due to his influence or in spite of it? There's plenty of functioning systems that have to work a bit harder due to a less than competent person in a position of influence. Has our midfield improvement this year been courtesy of Campo blossoming after his first 8 years in the role or could it be partially the result of influence from above.

I'm sure Campo has some good qualities, but it's hard, given our history, to genuinely consider that he's been instrumental in our improved fortunes in there. Nothing had changed previously, I doubt he's led anything other than the case for changing nothing.
