How do they get away with producing a pitch
That was dead for the first ball from day 1
The bowlers haven't got a hope of getting 10 wickets it's bullshit.

Their spinner has spun it Nortje has got seam and bounce. It will get uneven as the match goes on. It’s day 2…

Will Pucovski in the commentary box is a major upgrade on Matthew Hayden.
Also a step up from Hayden.

Kudos to Sydney, they've served up shite weather, a shite pitch and a shite end to the summer lol.

Yeah, that win they stole at the GABBA will quite rightly go down as one of their finest feats in Test cricket.

That said, that they could even do that in the first place is a damning indictment of Paine's captaincy, and why I wrote after the 2019 Ashes concluded that his tenure might hurt us in the medium-to-long term. The guy didn't read the game well, didn't use his fourth bowler very well and struggled when the lower order got on a roll. Much like Steve Smith, only Paine did even more head-scratching things (bowl first at The Oval? Really?).

Cummins has made the odd error (overbowling Lyon/Swepson in PAK/SL at times), but his captaincy has been much more adaptable and proactive than Paine's on the whole. He also uses Green to actually break partnerships, rather than to bowl short stuff down legside.
Excellent comment. Agree on Cummins too, he (so far) has shown he has a good grasp of the ebb and flow of the game and the series. Seems to know when to push things and when to hold. He won’t always get it right, and he’s still relatively new to the role. But he has been a dramatic improvement on Paine.
