Being that neither team nominated him for the national draft (Adelaide changed their mind), both teams could now nominate him for the rookie draft and it would be up to Ben to decide which nomination he accepts.

Fair enough, didn't realised that's how it worked. Perhaps hawthorn should have done the same, but doesn't matter now.
