Well folks here we are again. Showdown Time.

This is not about life or death, its more important than that.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

But today we are going to win this game.

Be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition, and gentlemen in Adelaide now abed shall think themselves acursed they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whilst any speaks, that fought with us upon Showdown 2 day.

Having lost last year, this is my last chance. So my ass is on the line, and by my ass, I mean your ass.

Macca19 was a problem last year but if he was here now I would say to him “Son, your ego is writing checks your body can't cash”. He won’t be a problem today.

And you Stiffy, do you know who I am? I'm Jars458. I was making my bones while you were going out with cheerleaders. In football, women are more dangerous than shotguns, so stay away from Espoir.

People’s its gonna get rough and ready out there.

If someone sledges you then respond with something better like, “:Suck my fat one you cheap dime store hood” and remember, finding new and preferably disgusting ways to degrade a persons mother is always held in high regard.

We shall win this game today if it’s the last thing we do. This, I have sworn by the spirits of my ancestors. This I have sworn, in the temple that guards their bones.

So, once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; or close up the field with our Crows dead . Fell deeds await... Now for Wrath... Now for Ruin... and the Red Dawn...

Stirring stuff, coach!!! I've still got goose pimples from that speech!!

We'll be playing for keeps this time, and I'll make sure there's none of this stuff of Stiffy showing off his crude tackle as he did last year!!

The only thing I was worried about with the speech was the response to sledging, especially “Suck my fat one you cheap dime store hood”.

They might

a) actually try to do it (they're a queer lot, you know)

b) take it as flattery

Hmmm....I'm not too sure but I think can recognise a bit of The Godfather, Top Gun and Burgess Meredith in Rocky in your speech Jars.....still many I'm not sure of however...

I dont think stiffy was the main problem, i remember macca23 having a bit of a go.
