Here is some of the crazy s**t that went down in 2021 …

- Collingwood to start a chain of events that would lead to Clarkson being paid out his contract to leave the Hawks a year early.
- A member of the Galbally clan, a famous Collingwood family and members of the legal fraternity, to take Collingwood to the Supreme Court
- Ed announces his retirement, and then be is forced to stand down
- Collingwood to lose its President, a Vice President, Footy Boss, Senior Coach, List Manager, Fitness boss and women’s sporting Boss
- Despite losing all those people 👆, for some members that’s not enough and they attempt to trigger an EGM
- Richmond and West Coast to miss finals
- Collingwood’s VFLW team go through the entire season undefeated … only to have their season postponed indefinitely a few days before their Grand Final.
- Carlton to wait until after their season is over before sacking their coach.

What are your bold predictions for 2022?

  • Pendlebury will hand over the captaincy
  • Injury pending:
    • McInnes will have a better year than N. Daicos
    • DeGoey will win the Copeland
    • Elliott will kick more goals than Mihocek
    • We'll have at least 3 and possibly half a dozen rising star nominees. Either that or we’ll be snubbed again and get none. Likely contenders Macrae, Ruscoe, McInnes, Daicos, Henry, Ginnivan, Dib

Nathan Freeman returns and becomes AA mid
Grundy AA Ruck
Moore AA Defender
Finish 9th
Nathan Buckley to coach Blues, they finish top 4 and lose GF by a point to Sydney

Collingwood finish the year with 7-9 wins, however a % of around 95.

Whilst most onlookers will look at the raw numbers and say the club has not progressed what will be important is that the majority of our losses will be less than 2 goals.

2022 will be a foundation year for many of the kids. Some will be found out and delisted (Wilson & Rantall).

Pendles goes around as captain for one more year and announces at year end that it will be handed over to Moore

The Daicos brothers light up the game.

Dale Thomas gets his own reality TV show… on Channel 31. Has a ratings spike of 3 (Mick Malthouse, his mum and obviously Daisy himself).

Cox commences his ‘transition’. Wants to be called Marion and takes the AFL to court in order to play in the AFLW.

Pies defeat the Blues by 167 points in the grand final.

Bumpity bump …

… how did we do?

  • We Will Finish Bottom 4 Again
  • Henry/Macrare/Reef/Poulter have Huge 2nd Year Seasons
  • Grundy will have a Big Rebound Season

Not quite! :)

Nick Daicos to win Rising Star and the Copeland.

Half way there so far!

  • Pendlebury will hand over the captaincy
  • Injury pending:
    • McInnes will have a better year than N. Daicos
    • DeGoey will win the Copeland
    • Elliott will kick more goals than Mihocek

It’s funny reflecting that a little over a year ago we had Ginnivan behind Macrae, Ruscoe, McInnis, N.Daicos, Henry for a rising star, and only ahead some bloke who didn’t even make it on our list!

We make finals

Called it 👍 (although not bold enough to call top 4 :) )

Some misses, but I was close with 3 RS noms - Henry was stiff a few times. McInnes remains eligible for ‘23 too. Some chance Mihocek isn’t our leading goal kicker, but it’s the 19 year old Ginnivan again.
