Hearing Mitch Cleary on that radio saying other clubs arced up because they didn't want is to get pick 2 and AFL house know it wasn't good for North Melbourne, sums up everything. This delaying in matching shouldn't be whether we are wanting to match or not, but that we are arguing to the death with the AFL legally over it.

Interesting that on the radio this afternoon BOTH Rendell and SOS said they were unaware that incentives didn't count towards compensation formulae.

Makes you wonder if this is the first time that was conveniently revealed....

Afl always interfere/intervene when by chance, things won't be a "good look". Or if they need something to help a market or club.
Such as us getting pick 2 for B Crouch by chance of where we landed on the ladder.
We've seen it before with various things around the comp so don't doubt it.

Or maybe it’s just the first time it’s been included in the calculation

We are clearly waiting for something.... trades no double in play elsewhere to see if another club puts their hand up.

This is an ‘IF / THEN / ELSE’ type scenario that wouldn’t not take too long to structure

So the next point we get shafted is when they now decide to have a continuous draft rather than do it over two nights.

AFC currently have the first pick in the second round which usually attracts a premium due to clubs having had a whole night to regroup and negotiate a deal.

watch the AFL schedule a continuous draft thus removing this bit of value for us.

Other clubs would be more willing to offer for him if they know they are a chance...i.e. we have matched

Don't throw out the toys with bathwater too early guys, You do understand that the reason for 3 days is so clubs can appeal the AFL compo decision,

Look at it this way they have not accepted the ruling, at this time,
I like your idea, but there is 1E-100% chance we do that, and an even smaller chance it changes anything.

Sure, if we were Richmond or West Coast, but not us

Mick, you offer nothing around here, so I don't know where you get off criticising other posters. Not that many would see, because you're about the most widely blocked bloke on here.

They don't want Crouch to stay because he'll take time away from developing other mids, they'll be stuck with him, and they don't think he's professional - he's more interested in red wine and golf. Clearly no other club really wants him either.

We can argue we should keep him, but they don't want to and he has a really low value. So what should we do then?
im hardly blocked at all mate. all you talk about is the worst deals that should never happen.

if we are only offered pick 23 or 17 its off the psd he goes. unless the crows are weak as piss which wouldnt surprise me.

AFL would have leaked it to the media in order to get the public on their side.

I truly hope you're right but have to say I think you're not a glass half full guy, you're actually a glass full spilling over type of guy.

Just letting you guys we've found a missing child over here on the Saints board. Goes by the name of Volbeat. If one of you wants to come and pick him up by close of business that'd be great. Said his dad has a beard, goes by the name of Sanders. I think he might be joking.
We'll come and get him by 5pm...

Volbeat is a ring in mate, you'll find his alter-ego over on the Powa board.

Is it possible that we haven’t matched or declined to match to this stage because that would mean legally accepting the compo, and therefore negate any legal position to appeal or take things further?
