is it too late to try again to get Balme? Can I start that rumour?
Not sure how his health is though.

"He came close to leaving Richmond towards the end of 2021 when Mark Ricciuto led an Adelaide push seeking a football mentor for the relatively inexperienced new coach Matthew Nicks and his football boss Adam Kelly. But Balme’s medical specialist urged him not to make the geographic career change."

I’d take Balme on life support over Kelly…

Do they know of this thing called the Internet?

Hey Neil come on over and visit your family and we will pay for the trip plus FiddyK to spend a week running through things at the AFC then head home and write a review

But please don't be mean - actually please please be as mean as you think we need

Balme wouldn’t need to work here, could just do some consulting.

“Balmey we are considering extending Nicks” “what the * for?”

“Balmey we think we should change our game plan”
“Are you ******* idiots”

“Balmey we drafted this tall unique talent that could be our Patty Cripps, but we think we will develop him in the SANFL on guys like McBean”
“That’s it, stop ringing me, you guys are ******* idiots”

Balme's specialist even thinks our team is light years away

North Melbourne superstar onballer Luke Davies-Uniacke is on track to become the most sought-after player in the game as he holds off on contract talks until next season.
The jet ballwinner will be a restricted free agent in 2025 and will consider his options including guaranteed blockbuster seven-figure offers from Victorian rivals next year.

The Kangaroos are keen to re-sign Davies-Uniacke early to thwart poaching raids from a long list of interested clubs including St Kilda, Essendon and Adelaide who want more top-line talent.

Fits rumour and speculation I guess.

Gorringe on his podcast mentioned Sheezel might be annoyed about not breaking into the midfield - I wonder if we have asked him the question as well
We all know Sheez would struggle to break into the midfield here too.

His kicking is to sublime. To the back pocket.

But in all seriousness if and its a massive ******* if there was a youngster that we were able to pry out of a club Sheez would be near top of the list. The West Coast kid and that father son kid from Collingwood go ok too but they are even bigger dreams

Clarko's already flagged giving Sheezel more midfield time. And it's Clarko, so it will actually happen too.

I feel like the media just lump our name into every guy that has a contract question over his head because they know how desperate we are.
We’re not desperate.
We offered Gulden a 10 year deal when he only wanted 3 or 4

Hi Sheez
Just wondering if you’d like to join us at Adelaide, where you also won’t get to play midfield.
Cheers, Maffew

They will wait for 2025 to not mess up all the extras suns get again this year.
I think they wait longer as clubs would already have draft strategies in action regarding forecast academy/father son candidates.

But the AFL will look at the Welsh kid this year and feel quite sad they couldn't kick the crows once again.

Clearly incorrect.
Sheezel would play full time mid - in the SANFL.

If he puts his head down and works hard for a year or two, he might see his name on the emergency list. Which will be absolutely thrilling for the lad.

Sheez thought process ‘ I really want some midfield time , I wonder if I should look at other clubs’ . If that was to happen we are stone cold last in being a club that he would ever consider. We simply don’t do that .

Nothing gets a bloke to sign the deal on the table like the alternative being 10 years at the Crows.

Nothing wrong with throwing super deals out there. This is what I don't get. We run around as a footy board accusing the crows of not trying hard enough to lure big fish and when it is revealed we did and failed, somehow we were in the wrong?

As far as I'm concerned, if we have the cash throw around as many super contracts to as many pure midfield stars as possible to come to the club. We need to find that midfielder somehow.

Absolutely. Club said they would be aggressive, and if rumours are correct, they are being just that. Will Day, Mason Redman, Errol Gulden … had a crack at them all! Can’t be said we aren’t trying
