Guess we can with out Tommy Stewart and Parf.

Guess we can beat top 8 teams at the G.

Midfield Was great - Forward great... back great.

Coaching great.

Work rate, trust in each other and working for each other.

This team has an edge. The work for each pther and dont leave it for others to do.

And its not the stars.

Zuthire fantastic.
Atkins fantastic.
Blitz solid and most versatile player out there
Stanley more great games.
Bews was good.
Kolo was good.
SDK a ******* star.
Close just alwaysa high level and pressure.
Stengle a star
Holmes a great breakout game again.
2E career best form IMo.

Jezza with the higlight reels...
Guthrie every week now.
Selwood good.
Rohan adding his pressure.
Miers working hard all day long.

Tomma good.

Just coach good and team result.

This 2022 lot has a team hardness and skill level the likes of which not seen in Geelong since 2011.

Still work to do - but geez its a great thing to watch.

Enjoy the wins and Top of the ladder stuff.

And with other losses this weekend.... wow its been a great one.

Big games give you a chance to frank your form. Ours is franked, 5 weeks to go and it has us as the team to beat.

Will go no worse than 3-1 without Stewart which is a testament to our system and defensive depth. Zuthrie has stepped in and seamlessly played a role.
In the De Koning focus we won both matchups IMO. Stanley was superb tonight and shaded TDK. Meanwhile SDK gave the reigning coleman medallist an absolute bath. Kept him to 0.1

Atkins got hold of Walsh in the 2nd half. Had no influence at all.

Stengle and Close are so damn good at ground level. Clean users, smooth movers and pile on the pressure in spades.
Dangerfield struggled tonight, but won comfortably regardless.

Hawkins and Cameron combined for more influence than Curnow and McKay, and that's with Curnow bettering Henry IMO, albeit Henry got better as the game wore on.
Mark Blicavs, boy will he be hard to replace when he leaves us, plugs so many roles and at stopagges tonight curtailed Cripps' control of the match.

Miers and MOC played their role tonight but for mine are the two to squeeze out to fit Parfitt and Stewart back in.

Overall thought the Blues method was ineffective. Bomb it long out of centre clearances or run and handpass in waves in transition. Our system and pressure caused so many turnovers for the latter.

Beat the Power away and not only is the lid off but it's buried deep.

Either would be stiff to miss after tonight's game.
Menegola is out anyway.

Btw I called it 8 weeks ago on my Facebook. 🤷

Just a hard edged, professional and clinical display.
If not for poor goal kicking and some gifts from the umpires late (either from calls or Cats non-calls) would have been a 10 goal win.
Only question remains is if they can continue the form into the most important month of the year.
Can't see why not, we certainly aren't relying on 1 or 2 players like we used to, Danger and Joel were mostly unsighted outside some quality passages of play.

Our pressure and defensive structures were immense. Absolutely throttled them. Our pressure this season is on multiple levels to anything we've shown in the past.

Pressure has been amazing but at the same time our transitional ball movement is breath taking at times and we play a far more daring style of offense.

Gee Zac Guthrie, you have proved me ( and I say majority of us here ) wrong... you been playing quality football...
46 games.... its takes time so we as supporters have to back off and let them develop sometimes.

O'Connor had his moments

While Miers has been pretty damn solid over the last month - I know he's not kicking bags of goals, but he's playing his role and doesn't seem to be fading out or disappearing during matches
