I despise him. Having him sets the tone for what represents our soft underbelly.

Melbourne would be bottom four in the comp for defensive spread and playing against transition.

They still have a stellar midfield core, but are extremely vulnerable on the outside.

I wouldn’t mind for us to show that we know how to change gear between putting the foot down on offensive transition when our mids are competing well, to slowing down or even shutting down quarters when we eventually run out of steam.

Showing that we can be in control of the tempo against a middling side like Melbourne may be more valuable than the points differential in the long term.

I think it's premature to assume Larkey is out. The fact he wasn't training today is understandable, but there are still 3 days to go. It's quite normal to have the knee tested a day before the game
