Holy crap...

Where is Andrew Foster??????????????????

From that list of interchange players, I'd go see ya later to McManus, Mark Johnson and Thornton.

But where the feck is the player who racked 'em up on the weekend, kicked goals, set them up, won clearances???

Fossie better be in the team next week or I'll be spewing.

His fitness hasn't ben great, he's too skinny and played on Monday. Makes sense not to select him IMO.

Oh be quiet you voice of reason. I'm having a hissy fit here and I don't want to hear anything rational... :p

Seriously I'm hoping the reasoniong is that it's better to send a couple of 200 game vets like Macca and MaJ to get smashed by Brisbane and leave the "new beginning" to start next week back home at Subi. This is the halfway point this week - surely things will start to change next week.

Won't they?

Still a six day break. ;)

Probably a good thing to keep him off the plane this week though.

Whats the bet Mark Johnson replaces Macca? There is only room for one of them in the team IMO.

Is Brown still in doubt? If he and Thornton don't play we'll win Sunday. Leave Thornton and Macca in Perth and take Johnson across in the 23. If it looks like rain (forecast = shower or two) Johnson would be handy, if the suns out then he doesn't play.

If it's a sunny day in Brisbane and McManus, Bell, Carr, Mark Johnson and Warnock all run out I'll be pissed off.

You don't JUST play the kids, otherwise they don't learn important things. Look at the difference between the Hawks and Carlton. Carlton didn't play any older blokes like we have... Hawks played guys like Dixon, Spider, Crawford, Joel Smith even though they werent hte greatest players they had on their list.

Didn't stop Head being named.

But yeah, they may be thinking Fossie needs one more week of solid trackwork because he looked to be struggling at the end of the derby.

But really... he's 23/24... it's now or never...

Out of Macca and Madje I'd want the latter to play, He's got better foot skills and doesn't give away those head high free kicks every game when the game is on the line, especially in the wet he will be FAR more usefull than old mop top. Give him a go, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised:thumbsu:

What, learn how to take on the tackler (Brogan) in the last line of defence and get caught and give them a sure goal. I'd rather have kids myself !!They'll probably learn and not do it again, as opposed to Soreknee who sadly has not learnt over his career!!! Still think he deserves to go out in his own way, but definitely not this week.

But really... he's 22/23... it's now, or next week, or the week after that or next year...

Edited for accuracy. What's everyone's rush to get Fossie back in?

Mark Johnson would've been Bell's replacement last week had Perth not played on Saturday. I'd suggest he'll play this week.

Foster missed most of the summer and has missed a few games though. Pretty sure Head has had an uninterrupted preparation.

Because he really is one of our only younger midfielders. Sad that he is 23.

MaJ will be made to look very very silly against Brisbane's speedy line up.

I should have written 6 day break in brackets. It would have saved you and the other motor racing enthusiasts having to count on your fingers.

As a motor racing fan who is also an engineer, I take offence :p

Yes, he is one of our younger midfielders, but he isn't fit enough at the moment. You said yourself he struggled at the end of Derby. Why would he, after a six day break, all of a sudden be fit enough to travel then play an AFL game in Brisbane?

He will play more games for Fremantle this season, there is no need to rush him in underdone though.

Play MaJ in the forward pocket all day and he'll be fine.

Isn't Foster still a week to week proposition with his back anyway? I can't imagine two 5 hour flights and game of football in the space of 72 hours would be in his best interests right now. It's one thing to play the kids, and a whole other thing to run them into the ground. Save him for the game at home next week.

have to agree - no need to exacerbate Fosters shaggers back any more than we need to......
If he's truely good to go next week then we should play him....

With Thortnton being the wife that refuses to sign the divorce papers, Palmer, Ibbo and Mayne being the favourite kids having to play with the adopted kids just to show them we don't play favourites. Then we have the special class for all the 'underdeveloped' children who we make run around till they go blue in the face or injure themselves (our midget brigade). Then of course there the big giant (Robert Baron/Everybody loves Raymond) kid who everyone makes fun of but when the going gets tough they all know that he will back them up

Throw in the Dad (pav) who's just going throughthe motions with an unhappy marrige after the wife has 'let herself go' and isonly staying around in the hope that she will get back to the form she was in when he first fell in love.
