Jenkins is easily the most overrated player we have at the moment. I can't believe how much faith people have in the guy. I wouldn't trust him to get the job done at all. The only reason he's in the side is because our other forward options are either laughable (McKernan) or untried (Johnston).
Petrenko needs to go. He's nothing but a liability at the moment. I don't care if he's underdone, out-of-form, whatever, he needs a spell in the SANFL. Sando needs to take a look at Craig's tenure to see what happens when you pick favourites and continue to blindly put faith in players who constantly let you down.
Jenkins has 12 games and McKernan had 24 and has shown he will be a far better player than Mckernan will ever be. I think many can see his development and are excited about his future. He also has a good attitude where as Mckernan sooks too much.
I don't know any poster who thinks Jenkins is anything other than an exciting prospect. He will develop. He is developing.
Do we expect every young/inexperienced player to automatically be awesome and unstoppable? We need to get 50 games into a bunch of players without compromising the integrity of the team.
Brown looks promising.... 4 games
Martin 17 games.
Riley 10
Smith 36
Shaw 14
Wright had proven his spot on 42 games
A side can't just throw all the youngsters on the ground at one. They all have to develop and win their spot. Before you write off Jenkins, Johnston better be a great replacement.......
Likewise if Pets is to go who will bring a better performance to the park?
I'm not saying you are wrong, but you need to have good alternatives.
