Like that suggestion but dont think will happen as seems Sando ruled out Stiffy as a defender .Jaensch to a foward flank, Stiffy to a back pocket.

I blame that menace Shane McInerney for all of Otten's problems.
If Tambling is fit, then agree with bringing him in.Obviously wont be wholesale changes ,but will be very annoyed if no changes to improve our defence and if Brown fit then Jaensch out for Tambling.
Up forward must get in some more height and goal kicking ability.
Petrenko out for Johnston or Lynch.
Think they will try to get Crouch in but what mid are you going to drop .
Bit early in season but Vince needs to do a lot more .
Radio mentioned JJ in doubt and Crows looking for big games from Tambling / Curly this week end to push for selection
I blame Shane McInerney for a lot of things. Like the near miss of the remote going through the TV in the Geelong away game last year. And the Semi. And the Prelim.
Man I hate that guy.
The man is a menace, just like Scott McLaren was.
I'll say.
Pair him with Nicholls and, well, the Prelim speaks for itself.
This. Considering he is "Big game Bernie", he was pretty mediocre on Friday night. Where the heck has his 2009 form gone? He's resting on his laurels.Vince (make a statement)
Three umpires on the field and not one of them saw what a million viewers saw -that Franklin initiated the headlock.
Nicholls just comes across as a real arseclown.
They say why?
West AdelaideYeah, he was good (ish). One of very few positives.
Interesting to see what happens when Shaw is up and running.

West AdelaideThought he was excellent and played with confidence ....really a carry over from his finals seriesWhat did people think of Ottens game? I thought he showed some real signs of improvement. An inform (like pre knee injury) Otten would transform our backline. I hope his form is returning.
Yeah I like him a lot.Shaw will be rushed into the side ASAP .......mark my words he is going to be a very very good player !!!!!!!
Great hands, lots of speed .....generally likes to kick more than handball and long ....and left footer
granted an average finals series .....but given the way he played in just a small sample of games ...he just was getting better each week
Been watching footy a long time and you can tell immediately when you have a good player![]()
West AdelaideThink Shaw can .....but Otten is purely a tall match-upYeah I like him a lot.
I also like Otten though, so I'm not sure whether both can fit with Rutten and Talia as well. Depends on Otten & Shaw's ability to play on smalls as well as mediums and talls.
One of the reasons Sydney's defence works so well is that Mattner and Johnson could play on a variety of forward types.
A back 7 (6 plus bench) of Rutten, Talia, Otten, Shaw, Brown, Reilly, Mackay seems a fraction top heavy to me but I'd be quite happy for us to give it a trial run.
Otten played 6 games last season, Shaw 14 games.Think Shaw can .....but Otten is purely a tall match-up
But as i said yesterday i would have matched Otten up in the midfield against the taller midfielders ...Watson, Mundy, Fyfe, ect
Really don't think it's a choice of one over the other ....really would like Shaw to move up the ground a bit
West AdelaideShaw with "L" plates on and like Brown playing in defence always a good way to ease players into a side .....plus Otten was badly out of form ...so yeah it was one or the otherOtten played 6 games last season, Shaw 14 games.
Never once in the same team though!
Reilly out. Otten or Shaw to play his role could be worth a shot.Yeah I like him a lot.

So Otten plays well & you want to drop him...
Don't worry about those who played far worse.
