They both have the fitness to be that damaging all game, why waste part of it as the sub?

Yeah I agree. It's a shame, Ibbo has had a breakout year and is an important member of our back 6. Must be heartbreaking for him, if he indeed does miss. Sutcliffe is doing a pretty good job at the moment, obviously they play different roles, but he's a versatile player.

i mean anyone who knew Spurr or seen how he went about it could tell the guy is a big game player
he would be one of the favorites for the Norm Smith if we get that far
What a great time to make this post, was near BOG in probably our best ever win. Spurr has had a fantastic season and is in our best 3 defenders IMO. Finally starting to get the recognition and plaudits he deserves.
I think the only change for the Prelim at this stage will be Johnson in for Sheridan.
Yeah it really sucks doesn't it? Been battling away for years, seems like half his career he's been playing WAFL and this year it finally clicks for him which coincides with our best ever season and he's going to miss out on the biggest games the club's been involved with.
Hope it just makes him hungrier for next season.

Suttcliffe has been damaging as a sub and would impact the game more so than Sherro.
I think what Benben is saying is that our team is in such good shape that Spurr is the worst of our 22. I personally can't think of anyone in our current team that is a passenger so it's a compliment to the team.
Even still, he's a gun. He had 29 disposals, 8 rebound 50s and a goal against Geelong. The only reason he wasn't the clear BOG was because Barlow and Sandi had their capes on.
The way Lee Spurr plays footy is the right way.

Stuck in Sydney and it sucks absolutley nothing about AFL even on the ABC so I'm sitting here in the dark and the only sorce of info is you guys thank god for small mercies

I really feel sorry for the sellectors and the players for the pre-lim and the grand final some hearts are going to be broken because no one deserves to be dropped but space must be found for our best players
For those dropped the next season is full of promise and Clancee and Ibbo are young enough to get their chance but we need to win the prelim and grand final before we start counting our season complete

I don't the selectors would be enjoying the players who are capable of filling gaps etc, and the players now they get games through doing the team thing and playing with passion. I have never seen at training such a positive mood from the players ever.
