Out: Douglas, Symes, Shirley, Sellar?
In: Mackay, Dangerfield (if hes right, if not Symes stays), Griffin (if he has a decent game for the dogs)

Sellar just doesn't do enough, at least Griffin will get a few hitouts.
Douglas, typical douglas game
Symes, just not a fan, cant kick.

We miss Bock, how long till hes back? Next year

We might also be a tall short, so maybe Davis could get a shot.

Sellar 15 hit-outs, Maric 17, Taylor 15, Renouf 16 - given time on the ground, Jimmy's ruckwork wasn't too bad.

Harsh on Sellar, has been doing more and more each week.

Depending on Danger and Mackay I'd swap them for Douglas and Shirley. Symes has been playing out of his skin the past few weeks. Unfair to drop him.

Im starting to get convinced he may have been...ok, does anyone have his HO to advantage stats? Whenever he got a free run at it with no opposition he always knocked it straight to a Hawks player.

Agree with those two to drop out, but Symes... could have had at least 3 more goals if it wasn't for his kicking into the 50 aswell as his pathetic attempt at a set shot. At least Mattner could kick.

Douglas should definitely be out, but depends who is fit. Douglas/Shirley for Mackay/Dangerfield assuming fitness etc.

Sellar wont be out, Griffin has been average for Centrals and given that the 2R position isn't set yet he should be trying his ass off. Not good enough.

Sellar got similar hit outs to all the other rucks in this game and had limited game time. Take off the blinkers.

On Sellar: Not sure, their mids seemed to read it better. But he tries his guts out and he had a couple of really hard long chases. It's good to see, he's growing in confidence and is improving. I don't think Griffin could offer anything more at the moment.

On Symes: I agree his disposal by foot is pretty horrendous at the best of times but occasionally he kicks a pearler (see: vs Collingwood). But that's not his value, his value is his attach on the ball and his hard running to support his team mates. Not many other players offer that in our team and keeping him keen to play will keep him performing.

Regardless of Symes if we kicked straight in the last quarter we would've won by 40+.

If Mackay is fit he walks in presumably at the expense of Douglas. In fact he doesn't walk in, he bloody glides in in a blaze of silky glory.

Danger for Symes probably, yeah. Beyond that I wouldn't change anything for the Eagles clash. Griffin isn't part of our plan imo.

All really depends on injury.
Bock: will miss
Dangerfield: possible, but I think unlikely. If he's not 100% we shouldn't risk him.
Mackay: should come in. Most likely for Douglas
Burton: Should over come his butt injury. Only question is who goes out for him?

Will be a tough week at the selection table. No doubt about it.

Personally I can't seen many changes happening. I mean lets face it, this is a game we should (touch wood) win so it's not like we desperately need any of these players back in straight away. Only play them if they are 100% match fit.

Anyone else think that Sellar might be in a tiny bit of trouble for collecting either Bateman or McGlynn to the head with his hip in the first half?!

I know it was accidental and not a hell of a lot of force behind it up it is the head and we are talking about the tribunal here!

If he is ready to go (which by all reports he will be) Burton walks into the side. Just imagine the headaches we could cause the opponents with Tippett, Burton, Hentschel and Porps in the forward line!

In: Dangerfield, Mackay, Burton
Out: Shirley, Douglas/Symes, Sloane

I thought Sellar had a good game. No way I'd drop him. Sloane played really well when he got a chance but he's the first to make way at this time of the season.

In McKay out Douglas
In Dangerfield out Sloane (only if Dangers fit as Sloane looked great)

Sellar was good again I thought too. Love the attack. His leap is very impressive. Once the head is clear he will learn to palm more to advantage, seems to love the body contact, loves to run to link/shepherd, but yes learning when to handpass and kick is coming slower than the rest of his game. Still he is our best 2nd ruck option unless Moran somehow returns. Then some good SANFL form will put the torch on Sellar to lift his game again. Which I believe he will, and more importantly he is too, I reckon.

There are very likely to be 3 ins for the Crows. Burton, Mackay and Dangerfield.

If all 3 are available they'll all be ins, as they are all best 22 players.

Douglas and Sloane would be 2 of the outs, with the 3rd out being a toss up between Shirley and Symes. I was happy with both of their games tonight, so I have no idea which one Craig will be forced to drop.

Hi guys, new to this but thought that I would put my two cents worth in for a couple of guys who seem to be constabtly bagged on this site. Firstly Dougie: I know how hard it can be to stay in the game playing in the pocket, and I have to say that 15 possies and 8 tackles is super competative IMO. He obviously should have nailed a few more but I doubt too many people in the game could have managed a goal from that handball from Trent wich was very important at the time and no one could say he didn't give his all. also Jimmy Sellar I feel is a bloke who has done a fantastic job at improving his deficiencies. 12 months ago he was written off here and people just wanted him to make the Bays league side, now he is a regular in the AFL and his intencity has improved 10 fold. If he can improve as much in the next 12 months as he has in the last 12 then I think he could be quite a player. Overall I feel that it says a lot for our depth that we have 6 best 22 players out and yet there is no obvious players that deserve to miss. For me Symes can't afford to kick that badly at AFL level and Otten looks a like he needs a rest and Sloane being last in will probably make way but no one really deserves to go.

Would be mad to drop Sellar now.

His improvement has been incredible, frankly. Has grown in condfidence with every game, as has his performance, and it's fantastic to see.

Super competitive, and that's one label I wouldn't apply to Griffin.

That's the way I see it.

Highly unlikely that Sellar will be dropped for Griffin.

Burton and Mackay to come back in, one for Douglas, possibly Sloane as well, harsh I know but its the old last in first out theory.

I'd hve Douglas come out but I'd keep sloane in. even though he deserves to come out more than anyone, for some reason I don't reckon craigy will drop Douglas

Griffin for Sellar. Others depends on injury recovery.

What are you on mate? Griffen showing nothing at SANFL level and Sellar showing promise at AFL level... why would anyone consider changing this?

It should be a requirement that you at least no something about the team and players before posting on the board!

For Me:

Out:
Douglas (If he had of slotted a few of those misses might be a different story)

In:
Mackay

Macca

On D-Mac I would like to see him come back in however given the fact he has been out for a month do you think Craigy may consider giving him a tune up game in the sanfl?

There we go. So why gift him a game because he's 2 inches (or so) taller than our current 2R, who is trying his ass off, something Griffin hasn't yet grasped.

Moran is the only one who could displace Sellar ATM. Sellar really hasn't been that far behind Maric, especially given the game time.

Knightd for mine has had no impact in the last few weeks and Otten looks to have hit a wall !
Great to see NC go one on one......why not last week !!!!

I really hope sloane doesn't go out.
100% eff 5 possessions and 7 tackles with only 36% game time
I think he did well like to see him gain some more confidence and he'll be great :)
