I would be stunned if Martin or Sweet were to come in now when the sides won the clearances in two finals.

R Smith will be lucky and stay in as his defensive efforts are needed when Treloar and B Smith don’t run both ways.

If it’s the Weightman for JJ change I would much rather Wallis come in than Scott. Wallis could be very handy once the stings gone out of the game as opposed to Scott in his first final.

I reckon it’s as simple as Adam knows he’s not playing well after his injury and unfortunately he’s probably feeling like he’s letting the team down or not feeling part of the success. That in turn creates a cycle of anxiety for him.

Anyone who saw that excellent documentary about the Collingwood FC a couple of years ago would remember that Adam candidly talked about his problems with self-doubt and anxiety. Perhaps he's in a bit of a downward spiral at the moment, and quarantine isn't helping. He needs a lot of love and support, and I expect that we'd be reaching out to him to make him feel unconditionally part of the group.
