It's easier for a kid to beat out a senior player if they're already in the same 22. Hopefully Sholl can do that with Kelly.

I didn't say I wanted him dropped this week. It was a discussion about the next few weeks of changes. I said I would consider his position in danger over the next few weeks as we get players back.

Himmelberg has played one acceptable game out of 4 attempts this year and will be under the pump to keep his spot with our young KPP stocks

I don't think there's anyone coming back that puts him at risk, only his own form. I doubt we'll continue without a second ruck or, so it's only really him losing his spot to Billy.

Nah, the true pros go weeks without hitting the stat board meaningfully.

Our whole team are reactive.

I needed to take my socks off to count how many times we watched opponents in marking contests instead of the ball last match.

Tex needs a clip around the ears for this. Constantly does it when he's in front position and by the time he looks at the ball his opponent has the drop on him 100% of the time.

McHenry in the forward line is a waste of a spot. Either play him on the wing or out, with Stengle and McAdam back its out for me.

No one coming back, but we currently have McAsey, Fogarty, Walker, Himmelberg, Talia/Hartigan and Doedee all in the team. I'd say that's one tall too many up forward considering Lynch is also there.
Especially if we want to be using McAsey up forward at times, Himmelberg seems to be the logical omission from the team for balance reasons. Probably not this week, but some time in the next 3 games I'd expect him to drop out if he doesn't continue Wednesday's form.

No one coming back, but we currently have McAsey, Fogarty, Walker, Himmelberg, Talia/Hartigan and Doedee all in the team. I'd say that's one tall too many up forward considering Lynch is also there.

Except that's been our tall preference for years. 3 down back, 3 up forward. I don't see us without a 2nd ruck and we don't understand the concept of being too tall.
