Too many people quoting Laird with Crouch and Sloane as if he’s the problem, Laird is a genuine star, it’s not his problem that we haven’t selected a good mix around him.

Even ignoring the rest of the side it's the worst midfield we've rolled out. It's awful. The balance is all wrong and we're missing the young talents that gave us something earlier in the year

I'd have been OK with Crouch retaining his spot (only for this week) if at a bare minimum Sloane went out for Soligo. The fact we still have this trio of Laird, Sloane and Crouch running the midfield in 2023 is a ****ing enditement on selectors and recruitment.

So Nicks' plan is to have Laird and Crouch win the ball and feed to Dawson. So just tag Dawson and we will get nothing better than a hack kick from one of those 2 leading to an intercept for the Power to score from half back.

If there is a Plan B I'd love to see it. With that midfield you couldn't even formulate one.

Again, was going to be the case with Rachele and Rankine missing. Should have brought in Soligo of course. It’s definitely our weakest side of the year, injuries and suspension are catching up to us.

That doesn’t bother me, Cook was average last week and has been average all year. It should have been Soligo for Crouch.

What’s funny about this post George Kramer? Cook has been terrible this year, that’s not the wrong selection here, it’s Soligo missing and keeping Crouch.
