The selections have been dumb, but come saturday night I wont give a shit. I just want to beat these w***ers again and **** the season up for them.

But we have gone away from our structure, crouch is now playing instead of who?Far out. You truly buy into the “structure“
thou shall not put a player in a slightly different position to that which he trained in the preseason.
such creativity at afc
i wonder if we would go in a player short if all our inside mids were injure thus is the inflexibility of our coaches
Good one NicksyI think we should go Crouch, Keays and Sloane at the centre bounces.

I couldnt give a fxxk if crouch got 50 posessions, 10 clearances, 15 goal assists and kicked 5 goals in some freakish one off best game of his life..After last week ......Crouch was always getting another game .....not sure why people are surprised
I'm also not surprised Cook is going back to the SANFL ......but very happy with Keane, and Max back .....and Schoenberg retained for his pace, to match it with Butters / Rozee
And have waited all week to have another look at Nankervis![]()
I'm actually not sure what I am.How I would like us to line-up with this side...
B: Michalanney, Butts, Keane
HB: Smith, Worrell, Nankervis
C: Jones, Dawson, Hinge
HF: Pedlar, Walker, Keays
F: Fogarty, Thilthorpe, McAdam
R: O'Brien, Schoenberg, Laird
I: Milera, Crouch, Sloane, Murphy
Sub: Soligo
Sloane as 3rd wingman/half forward.
Cannot have him in the middle with Crouch & Laird.
The AFC not being able to make tough calls with an eye to development is why we are 27 years down the track without another flag. After last week ......Crouch was always getting another game .....not sure why people are surprised
In fairness two of his best games were the showdown and Geelong awayIts a big fail. He disappears in big games, classic flat track out the back player when the heat isn't on. We had some better options really.
I’m as disappointed about the Crouch selection as the next person. I just don’t like the kneejerk whingeing for which this board is renowned.
It’s not exactly knee jerk though is it?I’m as disappointed about the Crouch selection as the next person. I just don’t like the kneejerk whingeing for which this board is renowned.
We should win the ruck at least. ROB needs to have one of his monster games where he runs his opponent tagged. The selections tell me one thing very clearly - our plan for this game is to clog up the midfield and hope to win 3 goals to 2. Our only hope is to make it a complete slog and not let Rozee and Butters get on the outside. If they do, we are in all sorts.
It will mean lots of kick and hope balls and probably lots of Aliir marks. Hopefully our forwards compete and bring the ball to ground rather than giving up once they realise they can't mark the ball.
Goodbye Matt. Thank you but it’s time. It’s not exactly knee jerk though is it?
He comes in last week to cover laird - yeah we can maybe cop that.
Laird comes back this week and he’s still in, sorry can’t cop that.
What will you say if he’s delisted at years end?
Cook defensive efforts should not be why dropped when we have Crouch in team and Milera in defence , not mentioning old damaged legs that can't get there to create defensive pressure .I really don't .....my views on Crouch go back 3 years, a full year B4 I advocated he be traded over Brad
My views on Sloane are also well documented ....but I also advocated last year, his days in the midfield are over
Now, that said .....we are correctly trying to win games ....it is critical to the messaging from Nicks, that the players believe that too
After 4 years .....it's selection on merit, building connectivity & chemistry within the team ......that's far more valuable than experimenting .....and that's what some want
Remember, we viewed Cook on stats, and a few nice things with ball in hand ......I really don't think many from their lounge chair, can view his defensive efforts & positioning
I still agree, if we had to play Crouch, Sloane had to be "managed" and act as the Sub ....but I'm happy with the balance of the side, given our injuries / suspensions
If it’s time at season end, why isn’t it time for this game?Goodbye Matt. Thank you but it’s time.
That's the biggest load of horseshit I've ever read from you, which says a lot, because you've produced quite a bit of it over the journey.I really don't .....my views on Crouch go back 3 years, a full year B4 I advocated he be traded over Brad

So the balance is horrible due to the selection of one playerThe balance of our side is horrific
Crouch and Laird are only able to play center square, unless you think we'll be sending Laird back again. They have no versatility.
This leaves just a couple of midfield spots (one in the center square, maybe a few others around the ground) for everyone else and severely limits our ability to rotate players through the midfield.
It means that guys like Schoenberg will be played out of position. It means Dawson is likely to spend some stints at half back. It means Pedlar won't get a look in. And that's not even factoring in what we do with Sloane and Keays, if they're getting midfield time too it's even worse
......think that one thru a bitTwo players, Crouch and SloaneSo the balance is horrible due to the selection of one player......think that one thru a bit
Absolutely ridiculous.Goodbye Matt. Thank you but it’s time.
