We have a plethora of medium defenders. Hamill, Sholl, McPherson and then there's Butts that needs game time as well. The last player that should be getting game time in defence is Kelly (and Hartigan)

Hamill for Kelly would be good. And push a forward up to replace Rat for McAdam. I can handle no change this week, Mackay disappearing altogether is enough. But definitely want more run and better kicking out of the back half, so keen for Kelly to miss soon.

Sloane and Kelly won't play. No point playing them injured.
I'd say McAdam comes in with Himmelberg. Crouch and Smith on the bench with Milera into the middle replacing Sloane.
Hamill will be close but not this week.

As I said above, I must rate Kelly higher than most, I thought our defensive structure went to shit once he went off the ground last week. I prefer he, Brown and Talia are in the lockdown roles, with Doedee, Smith and Laird as the rebounders. Smith and Laird running low on chances though.

I'm glad we look to be backing in Crocker and Keays. I didn't think either was amazing but they deserve a stretch of games before they are tossed aside

Regardless of the changes, it’s clear from that bench senior players are on notice this weekend as Nicks stated earlier in the week, good. Also named McHenry, Jones, McAsey etc on the field.

Not opposed to Hartigan coming in for Kelly if it allows us to perhaps free up McAsey a bit more to get him a bit more involved.

Hamill for Brodie Smith for mine....How he's not more under the Adelaide Big Footy blowtorch on his 2 dismal efforts in 2020 amazes me...It appears in the main he's gets no scrutiny because he's a board favourite?

Average for 2020 : 8.5 disposals, 1.5 tackles, 2 i50's, 0.5 r50's.

If one player needs a message/kick up the ass it's Brodie.

If Laird keeps playing like he has been, I'd be inclined to drop him before Kelly and then bring in someone who can kick (i.e. Sholl). Right now Laird is neither shutting down his opponent nor giving decent drive out of the backline.

but seriously.. who’s he replacing?.. it’s not Talia, if Kelly is fine it won’t be him, it wont be Doede... so the only other option is McAsey.. unless McAsey is going to Lynch’s spot and lynch will be omitted but as much as I’d like to see that, it’s doubtful.

Hartigan should have played last week. Too soon for Macasey to play key back. He needs to be third. Hartigan for Kelly
