That's the best thing that can happen, find out for real they got no ticker. They can't hide it behind one poor performance

And it doesn't look like the Suns are the pushover they were last year. Guys like Atkins usually lick their lips at the thought of filling their boots in an easy win.

I'm fine with the changes (or lack of)

Hamill I have been really impressed with the glimpses I have seen of him at SANFL level. He still has to work on getting more of the ball but every time I see him with the ball it usually ends up laces out to the chest of a teammate.

Ultimately I am fine if we keep serving up insipid performances as it gets us closer to pick 1 or 2 at the end of the year.

Oh they’ll respond alright

They’re like 5 year old kids that know exactly what they can get away with
You've got more faith in them than I have.

The thing is, Nicks is in the process of ending AFC careers. If they don't respond on Sunday, like they always do.... Then he will know

In the pre-Covid world supporters should be angry with the lack of changes, however, 2020 is not normal and the break between round 1 and 2 was significant. I liked that Nicks put it out there to the senior guys this is the test this week if you don't respond your spot is not guaranteed. Next games selection is the real telling material if we lose, which surely we will, if that result is ignored Nicks has lost me.

Welcome Will Hamill hope you kill it!

I don't really mind. Would prefer McAdam was playing because we need more forward talent to look at. Hopefully Sloane or Kelly is a late out for him.

Otherwise there's not that many on the list I actually think will make it who isn't playing.
And the ones that I do are too raw (Schoenberg, Worrell, Oconnor).

As much as I'm happy to see Hamill get a run, no unforced changes after an insipid, effortless performance is still very disappointing. The only positive is that we're flooding a new player instead of reverting back to those not part of the future such as Gibbs and Mackay.
Gotta back them in to respond...

I actually think of all players, Atkins is the barometer for this GC match.
His output usually correlates to the amount of pressure on the Crows as a collective.
This was his best game last year, and he cut loose with 35 possessions.
Brad Crouch laid 16 tackles!

Going to be a lot tougher this time around. But it would be a very Crows thing to do to win this one, sweep some of their problems under the rug, then go on to lose the next few.

Not having a go. Just think an insipid effort like last week in our biggest game of the year demanded some consequences for senior players.
I’m ok with them getting one week for a reprieve, and even if we win, if some of those senior players don’t improve they’re gone next week. This is what Nicks was talking about earlier in the week, so I hope he follows through.

Kelly and Nicks don’t have any ties to past personnel that influenced the continued selections of players like Mackay, I’m willing to trust him for now.

I was backing Nicks in to respond but it looks like he's backed the boys in to respond.
What makes you think Nicks or Kelly care about past selection policies? I would think it’s pretty clear he’s backing in a very young side this year and is bringing in guys like Hamill instead of Gibbs/Mackay. I’ve got no doubt we will see McPherson, McAdam and a few others within the next few weeks, especially as I’m confident Atkins won’t improve.
