Jake Kelly has a break in his hand apparently.
I was wondering about this as the club hasn’t said exactly what’s wrong with it, other than ‘hand injury’.
You’re full of intel, pjcrows - what’s the go with Sloane and Lynch re-signing?

I agree, although they did say Tex was going to train tomorrow. We should get Brad Crouch to give us injury upgrades for everyone, or maybe just speak all things Adelaide related as we actually get a real answer from him. Nice to actually just get some honestly for a change.

Brand doesn’t do the company line very well.
First he said he has OP once his coach a couple of days earlier said it was not OP. Now he says Tex will miss when we are saying he will be tested.
I love footballers like Brad!![]()
Will be a breath of fresh air that I think the players need. Just straight up leadership, no drama
Is there no-one to talk too on the Nick Kyrgios fan page today? That's surprising! Will be a breath of fresh air that I think the players need. Just straight up leadership, no drama
LOL, you never miss a chance to have a dig at Tex.
I'm thinking these will be the changes this week:
In: Fogarty, Betts
Out: Walker (inj), Poholke (omitted)
If Mackay doesn't come up, then Poholke stays in.
Sloane to come back into the team next week, potentially along with Walker and Kelly (provided they are over their respective injuries).
The closer we get to the game the more I think Pykey will give the FOG another go around. His last AFL game was a bit of a stitch up for the kid in terms of the situation we put him in and how we played as a team. Plus Pykey has already shown that he likes him over the other talls in the SANFL so it just makes sense.I'm thinking these will be the changes this week:

Himmelberg will be something special when he's ready IMO, but I feel like he's in Doedee's position a year ago. Could play, but probably shouldn't for his own development/confidence. Last thing we want to do is have him taking bath's at AFL level cause he's 10% off the pace... Tall's don't always take that kind of scrutiny all that wellI don't
Poholke has had 2 games to show he should be retained in the side. He's delivered an 10 touch game, followed by a 10 touch game with no goals.Feel for Poholke if dropped as I would have liked to see him string a month together of AFL but he does seem like the odd man out. He just wasn't on against the Suns, and the rest of the team were.
With guys like Betts, Gov, Jenkins and Lynch in the side I reckon it's a nice way for him to come in for a game.Himmelberg will be something special when he's ready IMO, but I feel like he's in Doedee's position a year ago. Betts comes in for Poholke as the only change it looks likePoholke has had 2 games to show he should be retained in the side. He's delivered an 10 touch game, followed by a 10 touch game with no goals.
In comparison, Gooch has had 11 disposals and a goal, followed by 20 disposals and 2 goals. Knight had 9 touches and no goals and 17 touches and 2 goals. So Poholke is clearly the worst performed out of the 3 that came in for the Sydney game.
When you've got Eddie Betts fit and ready to come back in, someone will get squeezed out and Poholke hasn't done enough for that player not to be him.
Not arguing any of that. He's certainly the least performed. But he does have a presence about him. Solid kid, good tackler, hard at it and good overhead. Would have liked to see him play a few more games in this stretch, cause its his best chance to get games considering the injury list has 6 tests on it this weekPoholke has had 2 games to show he should be retained in the side. He's delivered an 10 touch game, followed by a 10 touch game with no goals.

I can't see us risking Walker this week. Not when we're playing an 0-6 team at home, with them missing 2-3 of their top 5 players. It's about as gimme a game as you can hope for (not that it will be a gimme though). Mackay no certainty to play either.Betts comes in for Poholke as the only change it looks like
So Fog and ....... do we have anyone left. On the basis we will likely make 2 forced changes in that case, maybe Myles staysI can't see us risking Walker this week. Unfortunately thats the life of a Fringe player in the AFL. Gotta be ready to come in a perform at the drop of a hat. Plenty of good stories of fringe players coming in and not surrendering their spot too. Riley Knight, Charlie Cameron, Jake Kelly. Hell even Rory Sloane all those years ago was a fringe player that just refused to yield his spot.If tex doesn't play it doesn't seem fair to let FOG play for a week and then back out again, at some point we need to let the kid develop through some continuity in his game time. In & out all over the shop aint going to help him!
I think Poholke would stay in the team if Mackay doesn't get up. The other possibility is Murphy comes in for Poholke. So Fog and ....... do we have anyone left. On the basis we will likely make 2 forced changes in that case, maybe Myles stays
That's what happens to almost all first year players at teams vying for a shot at the flag. The really good first-year players will perform so well that they force the selectors to keep them in the team.If tex doesn't play it doesn't seem fair to let FOG play for a week and then back out again, at some point we need to let the kid develop through some continuity in his game time.
