Walker in to man Higgins - Draper out.
Saints have no talls so Cox & Ryan to play bigs. Club will know that and give Pearce the extra break.
Jom in for Ras. Rather it be Fyfe but they’ll never do it.
Dudley in for Banners to add a little more flair to the forward mix.

No Darcy!
Jackson to belt Marshall solo

I think they’ll persist with him a bit longer, but far out is Fyfe a liability.

Literally every contest he gets to he gets beaten. He is so physically cooked that it’s sad, I hope he gets better but I have my doubts.
We aren’t winning the flag this year regardless so I’d rather we get minutes into Ras and MJ as inside mids.

Thought of JOM coming in made me throw up in my mouth. Give him a big block of WAFL before even considering it.
If we swap him for Fyfe tonight we have a better side.

I doubt Pearce comes back in, Draper can stay or Davies in.

Banfield for Dudley
Fyfe or Erasmus out for Darcy. I would prefer a more agile mid to come in.

Our GE took a nose dive in the last someone said it was fatigue setting in after a short break which makes sense.

I think this was impacted by not picking a 7th forward to replace Switta and going with an extra mid. Further compound by LJ as sole ruck and using forwards as rucks.

In: Cudley Dudlley, Darcy
Out: Erasmus, Aish

Probably depends who plays at peel for me.
If Walker gets a game in, he can come in next week as a need v Higgins. Omeara needs a couple at peel, plus the mids are fine at AFL now. Given Switta is TBC I think he will be a couple weeks. Pearce is 50/50.

In - Darcy Walker & Pearce
Out - Banfield Aish & Draper

Fyfes touch isn’t there yet. He’s too handball keen too. There’s a lot of footy left & he might find some touch, but he’s not best 22 atm and it’s so clear he & walters need to retire this year. Don’t go on and sit at peel. If JLo has the balls to even put them there

Fyfe can go back to the WAFL until he can kick the ball. He might still have a bit to offer, but not until his body is right.

Out: Fyfe Draper Sharp
In: Darcy Switta Davies

Brandon Walker is the one to come in for Banfield, just a matter of when.
We re running into teams that have dangerous smalls, and Walker is oh so needed.

In: Dudley, Darcy, Pearce
Out: Banfield, Fyfe, Draper
Is Walks playing peel this weekend? He is one that will absolutely need at least one at WAFL level before coming back in.

Can’t wait to see him getting caught HOTB and kicking it out on the full-on repeat while he is rusty.

Probably have Sharp out too if we are talking on merit, but not sure what it does for our structure.

Until now i have been pretty reluctant to see Sharp out, but his opponent has a real habit of kicking goals at the moment which is becoming an issue. Another 2 chalked up against him last night.

Your comments on Fyfe are spot on but I doubt the match committee will do it. I’d be comfortable Fyfe having another game to see if he improves. A first up full game isn’t really a great sample size. The start of the game Essendon were going crazy fast flicking ball around and going forward at break neck speed. Not ideal for a first up game.

His reaction time is slow, his work below his knees is a worry. Keeps trying to flick the ball up with his foot. Those knee and hamstring injuries as well as likely back tightness is his biggest issue for mine.

I think he will settle into sub role as the year progresses but no harm seeing if he can get some touch and play a more significant role. I really doubt it myself.

A week or two back at Peel would be preferred way to see if he can get that touch - like ground ball gets tacking etc. The pace is down a bit. Perhaps when JOM is up and running after some really good Peel form they can swap. I don’t want see them both in the starting line-up.

Let’s just hope saints perform this week sick of playing teams that get slaughtered by the media and have their grand final against us

In duds Darcy 2 traffic cones
Out aish Draper Banfield Fyfe

St Kilda have been awful for weeks to get media attention.
They’ll get smoked by Collingwood.
Just the team need to get over it and expect it to be a slog early

Saints already had that last time we played them if you remember they were slaughtered in the media. I dont think that the expectations will be there this time and our boys owe them one

Yuck no, I’d still rather Fyfe on one leg than JOM.
I’d just keep using Fyfe in that sub role…

McDonald is the best option over Draper or Davies if Pearce is still out.

Not sure which game you watched tonight but Banfield played extremely well. Cannot be dropped.

Can’t believe so many ppl thinking Banners should dropped. Played a very serviceable game.

He offers so much flexibility. I find his gap in effort between his best and worst is very small which is precisely what you want for a player.

He may be in the last 4 picked each weekend but he had a very good game tonight
Banners was awful, he’s a defensive liability. 2 Essendon goals were directly from his turnovers… I cannot believe the purple tinted glasses some people have re Banners, he’s the worst player on our list not called Liam Reidy.
