Yeah DP was far from the only reason we lost but I have noticed a trend this year when we play ball burners in the back line to start the game. Pretty much every game we've lost this year has started with our defenders doing really well to stop scores only to have their hard work wasted with Danyle, Spurr, Sutty, Ibbo etc giving the ball straight back coming out of D50, and it coming back over their heads for a goal. Our other defenders then seem to all curl up into defensive (foetal) positions and we lose all attacking capability and willingness to take the game on. After a handful of turnovers and inability to move the ball out of defence our midfield then also seems to give up and once that happens there's a strong chance we get smashed.T'was the opposite yesterday once DP made the final side and instantly gifted the Swans 4 goal opportunities in the first quarter. Absolutely morale sapping.
