There’s nothing quite so disturbing* as seeing the eternal optimist finally reach the tipping point.

(*and in this case entertaining)
I’m still busy visualising Jack Watts’ post-premiership celebrations set to occur later this year.

I’ve long said he wouldn’t be able to coach the AA team to sustained success.
The AA team is generally poorly balanced. The key position defenders are generally blokes who zone off and are third in at a contest. And the smaller defenders are all attacking run off half back types.

And the forward line is generally 3 key forwards that are all going to be running into each other demanding the one entry.

Now keep Marshall in for the rest of the year, I don’t care if he has weeks where he is quite. Being a 20 year old key forward he will have ups and downs, let him have 18-20 games this year to get experience and consistency. Don’t do another butcher where he is in and out of the team.

As long as his effort doesn’t drop. That’s non negotiable.

Happy Marshall is back in. But one change? really? I would say Ken has lost his mind but then it has been that way for years now.

I watched Hinkley's press conference. A psychological sadist likes seeing another sadist at work.

He refuses to lay any blame for either the Brisbane or Richmond loss on the defence. It was all about how the forward line needed to do better to bring the ball to ground, that we needed aerial support, that the midfield needed to deliver the ball better etc.

He said that if Marshall stays in the game for longer he'll be in the side 'forever' so I guess that's a positive.

Then he said that guys like Mayes, Lienert and Broadbent 'just need to keep up their performance and an opportunity will come'. Is he ****ing for real? Mayes has been in the best players since the start of the season and he can't get a look in when Motlop drops out of the team - if there was ever an opportunity for him, it was this week!

Sam Gray on a wing might actually be ok.

Lol I can see him now gathering the ball just behind the wing and driving the ball to just ahead of the wing.

You've got to be ******* kidding me.

**** you you disgusting little bald headed piece of shit. You are an absolute disgrace and are quite obviously sabotaging this season and this gameplan with your bullshit selection policy, rewarding players who put in poor effort with games while others who bust their arse and actually play properly waste away in the SANFL.

If I could, I'd cut out your tongue, wrap you up in bandages and then place you in a sarcophagus to be eaten alive by scarab beetles. You deserve a fate worse than death, because you're even softer than the players you continually ******* select. There is no ******* WAY that Lienert shouldn't have been in this team, because he slots in perfectly into the the role that Watts played, and now you're ******* taking him as the travelling emergency so he can't build form and you can use the fact he didn't play as justification to keep Bonner and Byrne-Jones in the team next week?

You do know you've ******* conceded 107 points and 98 points in the past two weeks, right? That means your DEFENCE IS ******* SHIT! You had the opportunity to improve it and instead you went back to the pile of shit that the team left on the field last week and ate it up just like the mangy dog you are.

If you think you need Bonner's run this week, why wouldn't you drop Byrne-Jones - who has also done nothing - for Lienert and actually IMPROVE THE ******* SIDE!?!!

**** off, and take that loser Voss with you. ******* 17 out of 22 weeks of good form, my ******* arse.

tbh i don’t really get what people see in lienert based on AFL form. He’s OK.
OK is better than any of the shit we're putting out there bar Clurey and Houston.

Jonas can't kick and has been downright garbage, Dougal can't mark and punches at the wrong times, Bonner is scared of getting wet, DBJ is playing uninspiring football.

There's shouldn't be anything keeping him out of the team, bar the guy making the wrong final decisions on the team.

"We're well planned in those spaces"! KH presser. Response to tight finishes. An opportunity for reporters to challenge KH, but no. Pathetic! He believes his own dribble. We're Peter Rooted!

The main thing I wanted to see was correcting the error of leaving Marshall out, so it’s great to see him back.

I would’ve thought correcting the outside/inside balance in the midfield since Wines returned would’ve been good, but it really depends on what role Sam Gray plays. He’s ok as a midfielder.

Personally would’ve liked Mayes and Lienert in as well, but don’t think it’s as catastrophic as it’s being portrayed here (and I wonder if we might bring in Lienert as a late change)
