just wondering the in's and out's for the coming round?? hughes and kingsly maybe reiwoldt... is he ready? throw us some ideas. also key match ups? who will go to lucus and lloyd and ryder??

If they pick Kingsley over Riewoldt they have NFI, he was very average on the weekend.
Don't be fooled by the fact he got 5 goals, look at how he got them;)

Riewoldt will play before Kingsley.. Riewoldt actually gave 2-3 goals to Kingsley on a plate.

So far Riewoldt will come in for Schultz. Kingsley may come in for Richo or may even replace Schultz. The 2 seem to work well together.

Anyone know what KK's record against the bombers is like? Apparently it's good.

mcguane riewoldt hughes and kingsley must all come in to the side. and why must they for good structure. schulz may keep his spot but boy he was poor again. if we had some depth in the kpp dept he wouldnt be getting a game.perhaps it is time to throw him down back and see if he can save his career.

fb newman thursfield mcguane.
hb deledio polak raines/bowden

hf meyer hughes riewoldt
ff tambling kingsley white/bowden

I can't see why there's all this support for bringing Kingsley in and denying the kids a proper go, when Gas was given the bullet for this very reason.
Kingsley looked uninterested on the weekend and the 4 goals I saw were gifted by the umpire, Coburg's midfield and Riewoldt. He spent most the time wandering around the forward line with a shyte eating grin.
Let Hughes, Riewoldt, Schulz and co learn how to work together without this hack who, let's face it, will be playing for his career and wont figure greatly in our future. I can't see Kingsley teaching our kids any more than Gas would have done if he'd held his spot in the backline.

I wish the midfield in the seniors would gift goals to the forwards:p

As for the rest of your post, Kent has always looked like a doofus out out on the field who couldn't give a shit if he kicked 10 or 0. The problem is, that Schulz had another poor game and maybe needs a rocket by being dropped. I am also anti-Kinglsey but I'm not sure about this one.

We didnt give him the bullet.

He was told to go back to the VFL like Kingsley is now and play his way back into the side like Kingsley is.

Not our fault Gas didnt have the passion to try and regain his position.

i agree with the above.
you will never get a bigger advocate for playing the kids than me.ive been wanting us to find a replacement or 3 for gaspar since 2002. but atm gaspar would be handy down back and kingsley up forward.with richo out, hughes and riewoldt can do with an old head around them. surely these 3 will all come into the side.without some size and structure our kids are just going to get knocked around.

If true then fair enough, but I've read a few reports that hint there was a bit more to Gaspar's departure than just this. Not that I'm saying that the Gas decision was wrong either (although I think the way it was handled definitely was).
I was trying to watch the Coburg game with an open mind but I saw nothing to help me stomach watching Kent running out in a Richmond guernsey, especially when we've got kids who could potentially do better as well as getting valuable minutes in the seniors.

What are the key match-ups:

Hird was in great form against Brisbane -> Johnson, Raines
Lucas -> Polak
Lloyd is struggling -> Thursfield
Davey ---> King
Hille ?? pehaps we need another tall -> McGuane for Jackson
Bowden as back up for any of these.

Watson, big guy ----> Tuck

Johnson ---> Tivendale

Stanton ---> Foley

Lids ---> Peverill will tag him

Up forward
Kingsley for Richo (mark it down he will come in) --> Fletcher
Schulz --> Michael
Riewoldt for Meyer ---> Ryder

We match up OK on these guys, but we will need to go taller otherwise we will get too stretched.

In: Kingsley, Riewolt, McGuane, White
Out: Richo(inj), Polo(inj), Myer, Jackson

who will go to mcphee? i think they may keep jackson in maybe to line up on llyod duno, newman or king on alwan would be a good match up..

Play Schulz as the main target up forward this week against Michael, and see if he can't replicate his last outing against Mal;)

I've noticed that Richo has been helping out in the ruck over the past 2 weeks? With him out who will help Pattison?

Polak usually.. however with Lloyd and Lucas down forward, we will be very stretched.. :(

IN: Riewoldt, Kingsley, White (if polo doesn't come up)
Out: Richo(inj), Jackson and maybe Polo with his injury

Jackson has played purely a negating role in his 3 games. I think we can get by without this type of player this week. Riewoldt will benifit greatly from an experienced forward such as Kingsley and they seem to work well together.

Does anybody here think that Kel Moore could be an option in the ruck. He would be an asset around the ground, as he is quick and played quite well at coburg this week. We have also been killed by the opposition ruckman pushing forward and kicking goals in the last couple of weeks, which Hille and Ryder are likely to try this week. Maybe Kel could contest in the ruck and keep a close eye on the rucks when they push forwards.
