Now we have snuck past the Bombers, lets focus on the changes for our game Vs Freo, who were mighty impressive in dismantling WC, much like we did a few weeks back

This one will be close

Sando has said Porps should be fine. Will Tip come back? or will he get a week in the magoos to get his legs back after the extremely limited amount of game time he has had in the past 7-8 weeks?

Callinan must be close to being dropped. But i'd be inclined to give him one more chance to prove himself. He's too good a player to be down for this long and an in form Nutta will be a massive boost in September

My prediction:

In: Mackay
Out: Tambling

Bling didn't do a lot wrong, but if Mackay is still not right, he'd keep his spot

Did Sando mention Doughty's injury at all? Was walking very gingerly along the boundary line in the dying minutes of the fourth, don't remember seeing him back on the ground?

Yea, Doughty went back on after he hurt himself.

Initial reaction is to drop Callinan, but he'd be tough to replace. He'd want to have a decent game against Fremantle however. Other than that, if Mackay is good to go then one of Riley and Tambling could be dropped. Also have the question mark over Tippet.

Hi guys, really looking forward to the game. Freo have a pretty good record over at AAMI and against Adelaide generally.

Potential for MRP action against Pav, McPharlin and Deboer seems to be the only potential to undermine the liklihood of a very even contest.

Do you think your boys might be a bit sore and tired after being pushed all the way by the Dons? Hope so.

Think we'd be a little sore after today and last week.

If Johncock stays forward, and I think he will, then who does he replace?
Callinan??

Wingnut has been absolutely awful the last 2 weeks!!!

I'd actually like Jaensch to be given a try as a crumbing forward because for mine he'll never make a half decent defender,

Our 17-11 record suggests otherwise

Agree re: Callinan, has looked ordinary the last couple of weeks with a few uncharacteristic misses. Will probably get another chance next week, otherwise I think Johncock could stay up forward and play that role.

Wouldn't mind seeing Tambling given another run as he'll probably take a few weeks to find his feet, but he's probably first out for Mackay.

Only saw the Deboer incident and without knowing his record, you'd think he's gone for a game. Didn't see the other two players but did read about them through the histronics of a suffering West Coast supporter...apparently Pav took a gun out on the field? Not sure how that works with the MRP :)

If Tips plays, keep Nutta in.

Salient call bigfella. I reckon Nutta's game benefits massively from having a tall f*** off target to feed off of. Kind of like those birds that sit on backs of big hairy animals eating their fleas (that's not to say that Tippo has fleas).

McKay in - Callinan out (Stiffy to forward pocket.)
Tippett? If ok, strange as it sounds, I'd give him a week in the SANFL. Get some miles into the legs and then bring him back for the last 3 weeks

Can people give me their thoughts on Riley's game?

Did he do enough to keep his spot for the time being?

I'm a fan so I'd like to see him get a few more games at least.

He sure did. He'll play next week no doubt (barring injury)
17 possies and a goal. Was very handy and did some nice things in close

A key weakness is the pace of our defenders. Talia is not quick but is rarely beaten for pace by the opposition key forwards. Truck is using his strength and experience to offset his severe lack of pace. Reilly is also slow disposing of the ball in a high pressure match and Dogga is also caught out by the faster forwards. In the third quarter Dogga tackled Davey and the ball spilled free. Dogga had taken two more steps while Davey collected the ball again and kicked the goal.

The problem is it's too late in the season to restructure the back six/seven. We really need D-Mac back there and Shaw and Smith are starting to provide more run from defence. Whilst Stiffy does provide speed, he looks very shaky at the defensive end. I don't think he has the fitness to provide the second efforts required.

I really don't see why Mackay is an automatic inclusion without someone abysmal or injured dropping out ahead of him.

He's been in ordinary form all year and remains one of our most disappointing players this season, nothing about him screams out straight back in. He's one of the few 50+ game players who has stagnated this year, rather than improving as a player or returning to previous form.

I'd rather let Mackay try and find some touch in the SANFL while we see if Tambling can do better with four quarters.

I don't think anyone else is back from injury this week, possibly Martin, still listed as a TBC, and possibly Tippett, also TBC. Brown, McIntyre and Kerridge were all quiet. Johnston kicked 4 for the *****, but I don't see a way in for him at all. Lynch saw plenty on the HBF, but again, don't see a way in for him.
